chapter 11

Emma POV: its Christmas eve and i was locked in my room wrapping presents. Daniel was in the movie room watching a movie and wrapping presents. Joey was in the living room listening to music and wrapping. for some reason i felt down. ive never had a good Christmas with presents. i fought back tears as i was wrapping Daniel and Joeys presents. it was legal California adoption papers. i know we wee united as a family when Daniel and Joey got married, i wanted to make it official in California.. i also made a painting of them.

as i finished i had a feeling this Christmas would be the same as always.

tears fell and i wiped them away. i walked downstairs and to the hall to the movie room and knocked on the door. 'Who is it"

"Me" i said in a weak voice. the door unlocked and i walked in and fell onto the bean bag couch and held a pillow to my chest. i let the tears fall.

"You excited for your first Christmas with us, Emma?"

i rolled over and my tear filled gaze met Daniels.

he dropped the roll of wrapping paper and ran to me. he pulled me into a hug comforting me.

"Whats wrong sweetheart?" he said softly.

"Ive never had a real Christmas before" he frowned. "Aww princess. i promise that this will be the best Christmas ever. ive finished wrapping your presents" he nodded towards a huge pile, bigger than ive ever seen. i felt bad. "Im sorry i could get you and Dad anything.." he hugs me tighter. "Emma your the best gift we could ever ask for. we love you so much"

i hugged Dad back and he and i wrapped Joeys presents. we left them in the movie room. we asked Joey to watch a movie with us which he agreed to.

as we watched the movies i couldn't help but feel bad that i didn't get more for my dads. i stood up. "ill be back in a bit"

i called colleen.

"Hey girlie! whats up" "I was wondering if you could take me shopping for Christmas for Daniel and Joey" "Awww that's so sweet! id love to help you! ill be there in 10 minutes"

i smile and collect my secret lifesaving from doing chores at the adoption center, i had $1100.

"Dads! im going out with colleen for a bit! ill be back!"

they both gave me hugs and a kiss on the cheek making me smile.

colleen pulled up in the driveway and i ran out to her car and got in the passengers seat. she leaned over and gave me a hug. "hey girlie! its been forever! how have you been?"

i smiled. "Im good, how about you Aunt Colleen?" "Ive been good! spending time with Erik and our pets" i nodded. "Can i play music?" she smiled and handed me the cord to plug in.

"I am lost in the devils garden"

she gasped "Oh yes!!!! your dads song! he played a short part for me but ive been wanting to hear it"

"I got to watch dad record it!"

we listened to kingdom on repeat. we drove around to the mall and we went to so many stores. we hit the stores Daniel got his beauty products and we went to the crystal store. i got Joey a handful of giant crystals and an iridescent crystal. i got them some comfy clothing and some candy. i also got Daniel new hiking shoes cause his wore out. i got joey some house slipper boots and some new hiking boots as well. i also went to lush and got them bath bombs. i got them matching scents for shower gel for their shower. then we went to yankee candle.

"Which one do i get for Daniel?" colleen laughed. "Knowing your dad he likes anything. i think you should get him the balsam and cedar candles. those smell good!" i nodded and grabbed one off the shelf. i also got pumpkin spice and sugar cookie scents for joey. i also got an air plug in scent that sprays the room.
