"Okay, listen. Enough of your ominous sayings. First you said I signed my own death warrant, and now you said we're going face to face with death." I said
"What? Don't tell me how to speak." Violet said
"Then don't speak in such and ominous manner!" I said
"You know what? Fuck you. I'll talk how I wanna talk."
"What was that?" Kat asked, glaring at her.
Violet grumbled and slumped backwards in her seat.
"Why is Violet even here? What does this have to do with your shirt and arms being burnt?" Alexis asked
"Well, she's the one who burnt my shirt and arms."
"Oh, so she's the one I have to kill for attacking you." Alexis smiled, turning to Violet.
"What? I didn't burn your shirt! Or your arms!" Violet said
I stood up and showed her my shirt, then rolled up my sleeves. "This is what your fireball did to me."
"Wait, when did she throw a fireball at you?!" Kat yelled, earning stares. "Sorry!"
"Today during school when I went into the basement to see why she was going into the basement." I explained "That's why I missed all of third period. The fireball set off the sprinklers in the basement and I stayed behind to help her clean up all the water."
"Aw, how sweet. She stayed after to clean up the mess? Too bad it doesn't change the fact that I'm going to kill her." Alexis said
"Here's your chocolate milkshake and your water." Chloe said, putting down the drinks. "O-Oh! Violet's here too! U-Um...hi...Violet. Um...can I get you anything to drink?"
"I'm f- HOLY SHIT IT'S CHLOE HARPER!" Violet yelled, earning stares as I kick her in the leg under the table. "Um, I mean, no. I'm fine for now."
"O-Okay...and for food?"
"I'll just have a bacon cheeseburger melt and a side of fries." I said
"I'll have the same." Kat said
"Crab cakes for me please." Alexis said
"I'll have a salad please." Violet said
"Two bacon cheeseburger melts, crab cakes and a salad coming right up!" Chloe said before she started walking away.
"Hey Chloe?" I called out
"Hm? What's up (Y/n)?" Chloe asked
"After you bring us our food, you wanna take your break and sit with us?" I asked
"W-What? S-Sit? With...y-you guys?" Chloe asked, looking a bit startled.
"Yeah, why not?" I asked
"Um, actually I get off my shift soon...and I already took my break. You guys are my last customers." Chloe said
"Oh, I guess I'll just walk you home then."
"What?" Kat, Alexis and Chloe asked.
"Um...I said I'd walk her home? Why did you all say what?"
"No reason." Kat and Alexis said
"U-Um...walk me home? I-I guess that would be fine..." Chloe said, rocking back and forth with her feet. "U-Um, I'll go put your order in!" Chloe ran into the kitchen before anyone could say anything else.
"Anyways, back to what was happening in the basement. So, basically, Violet was looking around for someone before the assassin, Serenity Frater, appeared and attempted to kill her. When I told her to watch out, she dodged and Serenity disappeared. Then the whole thing with the fireball happened because I 'ruined her plan' and then went on about a girl with black angel wings." I explained "That reminds me, why didn't either of you tell me that it isn't normal to be born with your powers?"
