"Aayan, get up dear, it's too late, you know we have to unpack the things as well."
"Okay mummy,just give me a minute."
Aayan quickly got up from his bed , wore his sleepers and washed his mouth.
"Mummy, where's my towel? I just hung it right behind the door"!
"It must be there".she said in a loud voice.
"No mom, it's not there. Let me search the bed." He said annoyingly.
"Oh my God, where that freaking thing has gone!
" He murmured. He sat on his bed.
"Ohhh!!! There it is ... Right behind the door!! But how can it be there!"
He was so puzzled and confused. He went out of the room and closed the door. For a few hours, he kept on unpacking the things. It was 12:00 clock.
"Mom, I am going for walk and to see our new area". Aayan told his mother . "Okay dear, but be careful it's a desolated place,there are only three to four houses, try to be back before 1:30". She advised her only son.
"Yeah sure Mom, well I am not a kid anymore". He said sarcastically.
His mother gave him a stare " for me you will always be a kid." She said while smiling.
"Okay Mom, bye".
He said while smiling. He opened the door and started to walk until something caught his attention.
"Ah! What's that!" He thought.
He picked up the red stripped envelope. He opened it. "A red dot!"
He was puzzled and amazed at the same time.
At the end of the paper, it was written:
"Regards, your paramour."
He searched the whole paper.At the back side of the paper, it was written:
" For, aayan".
"So confusing." He thought.
He took a little notice of this , threw it in the dustbin and went for the walk.
Aayan began to walk on the dried grass. The sunlight was good."There is so much silence in this place." He thought.
He could only hear the birds chirping. He took round of the whole area but he saw only few houses. Most of them were small with big courtyards. The trees were not covered with green leaves. It was really a desolated place. Suddenly, he saw a kid riding a bike down from a high plain. " Thank God, there's atleast a sign of life."
He thought.The second sign of life was the light bulb glowing outside some house. He started to listen intently for the signs of life.
After half an hour, he came back.
"Mom, IAM tired, IAM going to sleep". Aayan said
"Okay but how was ur walk? Did u enjoy?" His mother asked.
"Umm, well yes but not really, mom it's a desolated place.. It wasn't so much fun to explore it what can u expect?" He answered with a smirk.
" You are right to some extent, but you know dear it's just because of your dad's business work that we have shifted here. He must have thought something good before settling here. He must have some plans." His mom said
"Right! OK mom, i am going to take a nap!" He said.
After the walk, he was feeling very uncomfortable. There was something, something which was bothering him.
