I remember not even feeling like I wasn't enough For someone who wasn't sure who they were That type of heartache is a different type They don't understand the things They choose to do ... it hurts And their decisions ... stab you in the heart Yeah it may have been unintentional on their part but at that time I looked at it being indeed intentional I remember letting my walls down for someone And even giving them my heart When I didn't even love myself They knew how much I cared and instead of being careful with me they were careless Who would've known I was spilling my fears to the enemy This person who shouted my insecurities aloud Showed me who they really were Their character jumped out And I immediately knew then they weren't someone I could potentially be with And be happy with but I could've sworn they were into me And I thought they liked me ... genuinely I remember feeling my heart break in my chest after finding out the person I so called loved was out creepin with their ex That whole night and moment I was a complete wreck
I won't keep going because it was a lesson that I had to learn -It's okay not to immediately trust someone -It's okay to take your time getting to know yourself before deciding to be completely invested into someone else. -It's okay to be YOU And most importantly -When someone shows you who they are the first time ... believe them.
