This story was originally titled "The Call" and was written for a short story assignment in a fiction workshop class. I've decided to break it up into sections just to keep things interesting (and so whoever is reading this doesn't have to read it in one long boring block).
"Life Fragments" is a very personal story to me just because of the fact that I borrowed too liberally from my own life to write it. However, it's only been through one workshop session so it's still pretty rough. Sorry about that. Despite this, I hope you don't hate "Life Fragments" in all its barely edited glory!
