4- The Fight

3rd POV

Ryuu and Natsu stood outside the guild, a couple meters apart.

All the members of the guild stood outside watching them, a good distance safe from the fight. Martov and Laxas betted on Ryuu on winning when the rest of the members betted on Natsu.

Laxas and Martov where confident that Ryuu was going to win, and they were very curious of what power she had gained over the past 13 years.

"Come on Ryuu! Show'em what you got!" Lexus shouted encouragingly at his younger sister.

Ryuu gave him a thankful smile before looking back at Natsu wearily.

To be honest Ryuu didn't want to fight Natsu. All of a sudden she was giving them their dragon's gifts when out of nowhere Natsu made her fight him. More importantly, Natsu was Igneel's son! Igneel's was her best friend out of all the dragons and she didn't want to harm his son!

"OK! This will be a fair fight! No cheating! So now let the fight  begin!" Martov shouted, smiling widely at Ryuu.

Ryuu stood still and thought of many ways to attack him. She knew his element was fire, so what bears fire? Water!

She waited for him to come to her as she attached her fingers.

Natsu smirked confidently and ran full speed at her. He was two yards in front of her when he jumped up and shouted, "Fire Dragon's Roar!"

He put his hands in front of his mouth and blew scorching hot fire at Ryuu.

Everyone waited for Ryuu to dodge, but she stood still taking the attack. The members where nervous for Ryuu, but Laxus stayed confident.

The smoke subsided to show Ryuu surrounded by a barrier of water around her body. Everyone gasped as they saw her perfectly find. Her eye were closed as if she was meditating as the water fell to the floor.

Her eyes opened back up and looked at Natsu intensely. It was a very powerful attack, but she knew it wasn't his most powerful.

"Natsu...why are you holding back on me?" She asked calmly, "I thought you wanted to win?"

Everyone, including Natsu's, eyes widened at her statement.

'How did she know?' Natsu thought, still shocked.

She remained calm when she took a step toward him. He immediately went on guard again and waited for her to attack.

"Water Dragon's Claw!" She shouted attacking him by surprise.

She kicked him in the chest propelling him with water and send him backwards.

"Natsu!" Lucy cried when he hit the floor.

Natsu slowly got up to his feet and looked up at we with a big grin.

He circled her from a safe distance and she stayed still, her eyes following him. He suddenly stood still and ran again full speed toward her. She took it by surprise and he punched her in the stomach.

"Fire Dragon's Fist!" He shouted.

She fell back into the hard cement ground making a small crater to form around her. She groaned in pain as she hit the ground.

"Ryuu!" Laxus shouted stepping forward.

"No Laxus." Martov said, stopping him from interfering in the fight, "It's not done yet..."

Martov's full attention was on Ryuu as dust and smoke floated around Ryuu's body, blocking the guild's views of her. He knew she wouldn't lose that easily.

Suddenly two green lights gleamed from inside the dust cloud and everyone stated still. The two lights came closer to Natsu, who stood panting outside the cloud. A figure came out of the clouds to show it was Ryuu's eyes that were glowing bright green.

Everyone gasp at how abnormal her eyes where glowing as she stood in front of Natsu. Her clothes were trampled and ripped and her face looked as if she was in a trance.

Natsu stood guard and watched Ryuu hesitantly. He suddenly ran towards her yelling a loud shout while at it and jumped to her. He was right on top of her, about to attack when an invisible force pushed him down to the ground.

She put her foot to his chest and she put her head a foot from his. She suddenly shouted screamed a roar. But not any roar. A dragon's roar.

Ryuu's eyes flickered into slits as the guild covered her hands on top of their ears to try to block to loud sound. From the loud roar Natsu passed out right when Ryuu's roar quieted.

Martov watched as Ryuu's eyes dimmed and she fell back on the pavement the opposite of Natsu.

Everyone was wide eyed as they realized what damage the roar did around them. The ground under Natsu and Ryuu was a gigantic crater that had big cracks outside of it.

Lucy, Erza, Gray, and Wendy, along with their Exceeds, quickly ran to where Natsu laid. Laxus and Martov ran to Ryuu.

"W-What was that?" Erza asked.

"It sounded like a roar!" Wendy exclaimed.

Laxus held Ryuu in his arms and looked down at her in confusion. What happened to his little sister while she was separated from him?

She had a lot of questions to answer...
