[Ryuu's POV]
My heads pounded as I blinked my eyes open, only to be met with blinding light. I groaned quietly as I sat up from where I laid and rubbed my soar eyes.
"What happened?" I whispered to myself.
I turned my head slowly to see my older brother sitting on a chair next to me asleep. His large hand was entwined with my small one and his breaths were quiet and even. I smiled at my older brother and sighed. I looked around the room and frowned confused. It almost looked as if I was in a tree, more like a tree house. Other than the walls that looked to be made out of tree bark, it looked like a regular home.
"It looks like you've finally woken up." A sudden raspy voice said from afar.
My head snapped to where I heard the voice and I faced an old woman with pink hair looking down at me with an emotional expression.
"Uh, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but who are you and where am I?" I asked as politely as I could.
"My name is Porlyusica, and you are in my home." She replied back.
"How long was I out?" I asked next, touching the bandage around my head gently.
"Two days." Porlyusica answered, handing me a glass of water.
I thanked her quietly before taking it with my free hand and gulping it down greedily. I sighed and carefully placed the glass on the table next to me, trying not to wake my sleeping brother next to me.
"He's never left your side. Makarov tried to convince him to leave, but he wouldn't budge. He said he wouldn't leave until you woke up." Porlyusica informed me, looking down at Laxus's sleeping form. "He really cares for you."
I smiled and held my his hand tighter, but not too tight that he'd wake up. I sighed heavily when I tried to remember the past events before I blacked out. All I could remember was dueling Natsu and blacking out when I hit the ground to hard.
A side of me was hoping that my dragon side didn't come out, or else I would be in deep shit. I wasn't ready to tell Laxus and Gramps the truth. What will they think when they find out their sister and granddaughter was actually a half dragon?
I groaned loudly, but then realized that made Laxus wake up. He let out a small groaned before he lifted himself off the bed and stretch his arms out. He yawned then blinked his eyes open and then widen when he saw me awake.
"Ryuu!" He exclaimed.
"Hey big bro." I laughed as he pulled me into a hug.
"Gramps, I, and the rest of the guild were so worried about you." He sighed.
"What happened to me? I can't remember anything." I asked him, pulling away from the hug.
"You really don't remember? Well, I'd kind of complicated. In the middle of the fight, you suddenly weren't...yourself. It was almost as if you were in a daze of some sort. And that roar-" He began.
"Roar?" I interrupted.
"Yeah. You defeated Natsu by roaring at him, causing him to black out." He explained.
He didn't need to continue after that. My dragon. It must of took over because it thought I was in danger!
"How's Natsu?" I mumbled.
"He woke up a couple hours after the fight. He's a little upset that he lost, but he'll get over it." Laxus informed me with a grin.
I nodded my head and looked down at my hands.
"Ryun...what exactly happened out there?" Laxus asked me quietly.
"Do you really want to know the truth?" I mumbled.
He grabbed my chin and lift my gaze to his. He raised one of his eyebrows at me and I sighed.
"Fine. But Gramps will want to be here for this." I stated.
"I'll have to be here for what?" A familiar voice said out of nowhere.
We both looked to the right to see Gramps standing at the door. He walked up to us and climbed up a spare stool next to Laxus.
"How long have you been there?" I questioned the old man.
"Long enough." He grumbled out.
I then began to tell them the truth. About the dragons, the dragon realm, me being a half-dragon, and how I am the elemental dragon. At the end Laxus had a shocked expression and Gramps looked to be thinking about what I just said.
"So...that's why you disappeared 13 years ago?" Laxus whispered in shock.
I nodded my head yes and glanced at Gramps who had a serious expression on his face.
"Ryun, do you mind showing us your real form?" Gramps finally asked.
I hesitantly nods and climbed of the bed. I stood in front of Laxus and Gramps. I closed my eyes and concentrated in transforming. I felt a familiar weight on my back and head appear and I opened my eyes. I grinned when I moved my wings forward to see the green, scaly surface of them. I also glanced up to see my dark green horn arching over my head in an almost majestic way.
"Woah...Ryuu...you look...a-amazing!" Laxus stammered in awe.
"I have to agree with Laxus." Gramps agreed with wide eyes.
"Thanks guys." I chuckled embarrassed.
"Now lets all agree we keep Ryuu's secret to ourselves. We don't know what the council will do if they find out a half-dragon is around. They would probably take Ryuu away from us if that happened." Gramps stated with a fearful gleam in his eyes.
We three made a silent agreement and I turned back to my human self.
"Well we should get back to the guild. They must be waiting for us." I suggested.
"I bet they're already causing trouble!" Laxus laughed loudly.
Gramps grinned widely as we made our way out of Porlyusica's house. I made a mental note to thank her for healing me later.
