I was speechless.
When Natalie got shot, it's as if I felt the bullet go through me. I felt her paint her sadness, her pain, her agony.
I felt like I was there. She was so afraid and frightened. I wish I could've been there to help her.
Unfortunately, I wasn't.
I decided to go take a walk at the park where Ethan and Natalie engraved their initials on the tree, to breathe some air.
I needed time to think about all of this.
Before I left, Cristal came running towards me and jumped on me, licking my face. I giggled at the contact and pushed him off of me. I proceeded my way to the front door and left the house in a hurry, not warning anyone where I was going. It's not as if they cared though.
I made my way to the park, and I walked in direction to the tree.
I sighed in frustration, not understanding what I was living. What was all of his for? Why me? I remember when she got shot, Natalie, I felt it, I felt the gunshot.
I was in pain in my abdomen. I don't know how that's possible, but it was. I stared at the tree in awe, as I wondered where Ethan would be now.
I wondered how the heartbreaks he went through felt like. I wondered how hurt he must've been. Oddly enough, I cared for him. I've never met him, but it's as if I had, in another life.
I suddenly hear paper trees being scrunched behind me. I turn around, and to my surprise, I see him.
It was Ethan. I recognized him from my hallucinations. It was him. He looked tired and exhausted though. He didn't look happy, he looked broken.
"Hi" I whispered, afraid of his reaction
He eyed me up and down, and nodded in response, not interested.
"Um, I started, I'm Saphire, you're Ethan right?"
He looked at me again, with wide eyes this time. His smile grew by the second as he engulfed me in a hug, which I oddly, returned back.
"It's you, It's you" he whispered as if he had found something he had been waiting for a long time
"huh, I whispered back, what do you mean?"
He pushed himself off of me and stared into my eyes. He quickly, yet slowly closed the gap between by crashing his lips onto mine. He kissed me oh-so passionately, and something about this kiss seemed familiar. I felt like I've done this before.
I kissed back.
He cupped my cheek with his right hand and wrapped his other hand around my waist.
This was the most amazing feeling ever. Yet, it had to stop, I couldn't just randomly kiss a stranger, even though I wanted to, I couldn't.
I pulled away and we stared into each others eyes.
I was speechless, I didn't know what to say, what to feel. He definitely had some explaining to do.
"I owe you an explanation, Saphire"
He really did.
yall finna understand what's going on!!
