I sat there, in my bed, thinking about Ethan and Natalie. I stared at the white popcorn ceiling, deciding whether I should sneak out at 2 am to go out and breathe some fresh air, or try to sleep.
I was obviously in a dilemma.
I slowly and quietly made my way out of my bed, deciding I felt like leaving this toxic house.
I grabbed a light vest, left my room, and my way to the main stairs.
This house was built 14 years ago, which leads to everything making a creak sound, even with lightest step. I tiptoed my way to the door, even the slightest pressure releasing a huge creaking noise. I cringed at the sound and ignored it as I picked up my pace and quickly left the house in a rush.
Finally, I arrived at my destination; outside the house.
I started walking on the sidewalk, hands in my pocket, but my mind somewhere else. While I was caught up in my deep thoughts, a bird passed over me, and it released itself on my head.
"What the fuck, at 2 am, seriously!" I shouted angry
I decided to follow the bird, chasing him with a bunch of rocks to teach him a lesson, I realized he was leading me to a abandoned park, the same one where Ethan and Natalie were in my hallucinations.
I arrived at the park and threw my rocks on the floor, as I made my way closer to the biggest tree in the district.
My mouth wide open in shock, not understanding what I was witnessing before my eyes.
I took my phone out and turned the flash light on, pointing at the middle of its trunk.
I couldn't believe my eyes.
The same initials that I saw in my hallucination were there. There was a huge E engraved and the same sized N engraved right beside it. A plus sign separating the two letters and a cute little heart engulfing them.
I couldn't believe it.
Are they real?
