Chapter 3: I Take A Leap In Love

Right before I could tell Greyson that Jessica really cares about him, it started to rain, and I just got my hair done two days again. Ah great this is why you don't... Never mind. Now it was pouring so hard that it felt like the rain was aiming for my face! 

It seemed like Greyson couldn't feel the rain and said "What do you want Novia? I know I have hurt Jessica don't you think I know that?” This boy had the nerve getting in MY face and telling me off!

But I couldn't focus on him so I just pushed him out of the way. Good timing might I add because James came just in time to tell Greyson "Greyson we need to get you out of the rain! Your manager, Staci, wouldn't like for you to return with a fever and cold because you were out with your friends.” He looked at me in disgust when he said it. 

                So I gave James the evil eye and look at Greyson and said “Yeah Greyson, wouldn’t want you catching a cold!” Greyson look somewhat hurt and struck with anger but we both knew that we would calm down after this so I walked over to the girls and said “Come on let’s get out the rain. I am freezing cold!” they agreed to come with because they were shivering as well.

          As were passing the boys to get away from the dumpster and the dark alley, Cody grabbed my wrist and said “Hey mind if I tag along?” and he smiled that amazing smile that always made me forgive him for teasing me about my hair.

          So I said the only thing that I was capable of saying “Sure.”

          As we were walking I suggested that we go to Star Bucks because I don’t think Cody would be interested in going into a makeup store the size of a mall.

          As we approached the door to Star Bucks I whispered to Taylor “Would you mind talking Jessica inside?”

          And she told me winking “Oh I see what’s going on here!”

          So I told as she was going for the door “Order me a Vanilla bean frapaechino!” I’m sure she heard me because she just waved me off and said “Yeah yeah.” As she enter the Star Bucks.

           So after I made sure that they couldn’t hear me I turned to Cody and said “Ummm…Cody… I want to-“

          “Yes Novia?” He looked at me like I was about to faint in front of him, and I just might! I have never done this before, told a guy I liked him, usually they tell me.

          Ok Novia lets do this tell him NOW!

          “Cody I really like you! You are the sweetest boy I have ever met! I have always wanted to be with you since the beginning of our friendship. I never told you for two years because I always thought I was never good enough for you.”

          Was it just me or did Cody take a step back? No he couldn’t have… I can’t stand this any longer. After that we stood there for what seemed like an eternity then Cody finally spoke.

He said “Novia I am so sorry I-“

          WHAT!!! What do you mean “I’m so sorry” I started thinking.

          Then he continued “never knew you liked me! I would have told you but I was afraid of getting denied! I came with you just not to tell you the exact same thing. I like you too!”

          He likes me… That’s cool… Wait WHAT! “Cody you actually like me?”

           Cody said “Yes I think you are completely the coolest girl on earth and-“

          I didn’t let him finish. I don’t know why but my body took over me and I hugged him. I have dream of having a boy like me for well ME ever since I was a little girl! Then I started to cry, this was a perfect moment! It was still raining but we were standing under the Star Buck’s umbrella.

          Cody started to pull away to ask me if I was ok and wanted to go inside, but I pulled back far enough looked him in the eyes and I saw a spark of happiness in his eyes so I… kissed him.
