The unknown mate Ch.8

Nora POV

Then i found itachi-ani scent but it was faint but i followed it back home. Once i was close enough to  the compound and knew the was i started to run back home. I turned into an alleyway and ran into something and fell back. I look up and saw cat man looking down at me with his arms crossed.

Kakashi POV

    Once we were almost to the gates to the compound i look towards nora to find that she was no longer by my side. I looked all around me then i jumped up top of the closes building to me then i looked all around to try and find her. Then i realized i could try and find her chakra signature so i focused on trying to find her. Once i found her chakra signature it was faint which meant she was far from me. I sigh then started my way towards her jumping from building to building. ‘Nora sure looks mature for her age but she is a child and can be distracted’ i thought. I could feel nora's chakra getting stronger as i got closer to her then her chakra just vanish so i just picked up my pace to hurry and get to the place i last scents her chakra at.

Once i got to the place i swore she was at i realize that i was at the gates which meant that she was there. I hurried and jumped to the buildings looking for nora i knew she would never leave the village. So i started to make my way back the compound to look for her i looked down every alleyway to find her. Once i was almost close to the compound i saw a flash of red from the corner of my eye. I followed where the flash of red was then i jumped ahead of it then i realize that it was nora running through the alleyways. I jumped down into the alley ahead of her once i landed and stood up i crossed my arms and nora ran into me and fell back. She then looked up at me and smiled nervously at me i waited for her to stand up before i ask where she went. Also to why she left my side and runoff.

“So where did you run off to Nora?” i asked as she got up and dust herself off

“I uh-h i hea…….” she whispered the last part so i couldn't hear what she said

“I couldn't hear you what did you say” i said with a stern voice

“I said i heard a voice call me so i followed it” she said a bit louder than before

“Voice what voice? i didn't hear a voice and who did the voice belong to?” i asked nora

“I don't know the voice lead me to the gates of the village but it didn't stop there it kept going but i couldn't leave my brothers and mama and dad behind and wonder off.” she said as she rubbed her arm

“I understand….how about tomorrow night we can try and find the source of the voice and where it is coming from.” i said

“You dont think im crazy for hearing voices?” she asked as she looked up at me

“Nope i dont think that- to be honest i sometime hear voices of my fallen comrades in my head but im used to it they are always near me and i do believe that they are doing better than me here on earth.” i said

“I-i’m sorry” nora said as she suddenly hugged me

“Don't worry this is my punishment for all the things i have done in the past. Just remember if you ever become a ninja ‘that those that break the rules are scum, but those that leave there friend bhind are worse than scum’ i had to learn the hard way so please remember this no matter what.” i said as a pang of guilt and pain hits my heart

“I promise that i remember that when i get older” nora said as she let me go and smiled sweetly up to me

“You know even thought you father is the nine tails fox you are very bright” i said as i ruffled her hair

“Hey stop that” nora said as she tried to move my hand away

“Ok- ok now it's time to get you home before you get sick” i said as we started to walk back to the compound

*time skip*

After i made sure that nora was back home safe and sound i made my way back home. Once i got home i took off my gear and changed into some nightwear. When i was making my way back into my room i passed a mirror and stopped. I looked at myself and saw the scar that came down from my eyebrow to my cheek. Then i remember about my team and sensai and all the things that i learned from them. I turned away from the mirror and made my way back to my room then i closed to door and then i laid down in bed looking up at the ceiling lost in my own thoughts. Soon my eyes then began to get heavy then i fell asleep.

*time skip to morning*

I awoke to the sound of birds singing and light coming through the curtains. I sat up rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I looked around my room then stood up walking to the closet on the other side of my room. I grabbed my gear and walked to the restroom stipping down and jumping into the shower. Once i was done i put on my gear and made my way back to the uchiha compound.

Once i got to the compound i could see nora playing with her older brother. Nora was having so much fun until i sensed a group of ninjas heading towards the compound. The group of ninjas were people i didn’t know and they were coming fast. I looked at nora and it looked like she knew just by the way she just froze and looked at the direction they were coming from. I looked that way two then they just stopped moving i could see the group hiding in the tree lines on the opposite side of the compound.

Nora POV

    I was playing with itachi-ani then i felt a group of strange chakra heading straight towards us. Once they got into my hearing range i stopped what i was doing and look towards where they were coming from. Itachi-ani stopped and looked at me and looked to where i was looking.

“Imoto what’s wrong” itachi-ani said

“Go inside and get dad quick” i whispered yelled to him

“But imoto why?” itachi-ani said looking worried towards me

“GO NOW!” i yelled at him

Itachi-ani ran back inside to get dad. I looked carefully into the treelines of where they were coming from. Then they stopped just along the treelines i could see them looking over the entire compound till they saw me. I could hear them talk among themselves as they watched me. Then dad came out of the house running towards me standing next me.

“I see they have come back again” dad said

“They have came here before?” i asked

“Yes they have but i have no idea on how they have gotten information on your return” dad said with a slight worry in his voice

I looked at him and back towards the group hiding in the trees.

“So their the ones that are responsible for the deaths of my cousins and the reason why i was locked away?” i ask

“Yes they are and now it seems they want to finish what they have started” dad said as calmly as possible

Dad slowly got into a fighting stance in front of me it looked like he was nervous. I looked at him then at the group i stood next to dad with a fighting stance of my own then i looked up at him.

“Don’t worry dad this time i will fight for my place to live with you mama, itachi-ani and sasuke” i said as i looked back towards the group

“You truly grew up strong like your mother” dad said with pride in his voice
