The Time Traveler-Awakenings Series

Chapter 2

It happened every once in awhile, a group of people usually unaware are caught off guard as they all have their Awakenings together probably had something to do with pheromones. This with my friends seemed to be the case. Suddenly Marick's legs turned to ice, his arms lit on fire, his torso became dirt, and his head was suddenly transparent. I jumped up knowing I didn't have long until my power kicked and yelled at him 

"Trap your arms against your torso by lying on the ground and roll!" Marick heard me and and slowly laid on his front, His arms no longer pure flame he pushed himself up I looked around and found a fish bowl with Maricks fish Ken Grabbing a bowl and putting the fish in and then slamming the bowl on top of Marick's head keeping the air together sufficiently and he went slowly from a monstrosity to a regular person but his head stayed disapparated so I grabbed some tape and fastened the bowl more tightly. The highest success rate with survivors was negating the powers in some way. As i put the last piece of tape on the fish bowl Lilo shouted. 

 "Something isn't right, I think i've got a strength enhancer I'm going to the-" I knew what she was going to say our tree house by the creek is the only place all of us knew the way to inch by inch we had heard about a enhancement power in her legs who had tried to escape dying on her first jump by going to her roof, but she was promptly skewered by the antenna, so obviously making sure you knew where you were going was important. By going to the tree house we would be able to retrieve her once her powers calmed. Marick's head had returned to solidity so I took the fish bowl off so he could breathe. I pulled him up and Maricks said with a gasp

"Thank you, should we grab Lilo or stay here? There's still a chance that you guys will Awaken." 

"Marick you go find Lilo we don't know if she splinched we'll stay here." (Yes we took splinched from  Harry Potter) Marick nodded his agreement looking quite relieved he ran out the door and we all look at each other with a look that as we were all teenagers could guess wat we are guessing about Marick and Lilo. We all snickered until we saw what was happening to Kai. Slowly as he laughed 7 glass cups floated around him. We took a step back and I looked at Sofia she looked panicked telekinesis was highly unpredictable, but at least we already knew it was through mental capabilities not directed from his movements and that was half the battle.(There are stories in which those who accidentally killed people by moving their hands out to grab something and accidentally making the object fly into their friends and families faces killing them.)

"Kai whatever you do stay calm and look around you." He looked up and his eyes widened he started hyperventilating and with each breath the glass seemed to stretch I dove behind the couch at the last moment tackling Sofia with glass exploding around us. I waited a moment and jumped up.  

"Kai! Shoot, Sofia call an ambulance!" I shouted he was on the floor peppered with mostly superficial, but I saw there was a large shard in his side. I ran over and took the shard out and quickly applied pressure with my shirt as I took it off. She had called 9-1-1, but they weren't answering it must have been backed up already, with Halloween being a predicted hotspot. Sofia started to glow a soft gold next to me and put her hand on the wound and on my hands. I would've be thrilled if there wasn't a chance she was going to blow a hole through a Kai and obliterate my hands. Surprisingly her aura flowed into Kai and his wound started to close. 

"Sofia... you're a healer!" I exclaimed. She smiled tiredly, whatever her ability was it must use up some of her own energy. I pulled her into a hug, but then a deep rumbling came from within me, I knew what was coming I could feel it. My skin crackled, my eyes turned electric blue, the room swirled around me, and then I let go of Sofia and I felt my body disapparate and I was gone.
