speechless

She's dumbstruck.

She opens her mouth to form words but nothing comes out.

She tries to step back but she meets with the railings.

"Why?" She finally says. "Why Justin?"

"Because," I take a finally step close to her, regaining my former position.

"You're pretty, and I'm awesome. We'd be pretty awesome"

My nose brushes lightly against her cheek and I feel her shiver again.

She laughs at the my reply, the words slowly sinking.

"You're crazy" she says between laughs.

"Yeah, crazy for you"

She turns away to leave and I catch her hand.

Our eyes lock and that's the moment that I don't need to form words in my head again.

She smiles at me.

Her hair falls back and I notice that she's actually... blushing?

She laughs a bit and that clears my doubt.

Taking her hair behind an ear she nods.

"Okay."

"Okay?" I repeat like a formerly deaf individual.

She shrugs. "what the heck"

And then I frown, annoyed.

"Hey... Don't be like that..." She whines.

I'm still cross.

"Okay," she kisses my nose like we're little children. "I like you" she inhales through clenched teeth. "a lot"

I'm actually really happy to hear that.

"But I really want to go home now" she adds.

"Sure, lemme just get my keys" I suggest.

"Okay, lemme get my stuff" so we both get inside.

...

"Justin? You done?" She yells for me from downstairs.

"Yeah, I'll be down in a bit"

When I get down, Sarah seems to be looking for something on the couch.

When she sees me I give her a confused look.

"What?" She's worried.

"You wearing fake lashes?"
She's also confused.

"No" she says like it's meant to be obvious.

"Close your eyes" I raise a brow.

She sees I'm not believing her and she really hates that so she closes her eyes.

I place my lips on her's and their like strawberries. Tender and calling.

I'm drowned in her taste but I'm soon pushed away when she places a hand on my chest. Slowly making me back away.

I'm a bit surprised but her eyes are down. "I'm sorry Justin, I- I-"

"Shhhh..." I say to her, coming yet closer.

All I see is an innocent girl, who's been hurt too much, scared to be hurt again. Scared to love again.

I cup her face and brush her cheeks. "I think we've both been hurt"

"But keeping yourself from me is a war with your feelings I doubt your ready to go into battle with"

Her eyes look up at me. "Yes. Me"

I wince. A faint flash of horror slaps my face. My throat is suddenly tight and painful but I'm able to force words.

Her eyes are glassy. A tear forming in one.

"I love you"

The words rush out of my mouth uncontrolled. I couldn't have stopped them.

I never thought I'd say this ever again. But, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.

Both her hands wrap around my neck and I draw her to myself again, kissing her with surprising passion that I didn't know I had for anyone.

Our lips move in synch and marvelous wonder.

She's mine, and I won't let anyone take her.

When she smiled we stopped.

Her arms were on my neck and we both just stood for a while.

Our heads against each other.

I kiss her forehead and pull her into a hug.

"I have something for you" I say and she slowly pulls away.

I reach into my pocket and bring out a small box.

I open it and show her and she's glowing again.

Her fingers go through the golden necklace and she so excited.

"Thank you!" She squeals and then gives me a squeeze.

She raises her hair up as I put the necklace on for her.

A thin chain went through a loop above a small pendant-like ball with a small hole in the middle. The ball was laced with fine threads of rose gold with a little glow on the inside.

"It's beautiful" she looks at her reflection in the dinning room mirror.

"Reminds me of you" she pauses and smiles at my remark so I go to meet her and wrap my hands around her waist.

"You need to stop pausing when I complement you. You give the sun a reason to shine of course you're beautiful" I kiss her head and she laughs.

She turns to me and just hugs me.

I love this.
