Commander

My title is a  flight commander.
I command B- flight.
My cadets call me mama.
They don't see how much I work at night.

Leadership is a challenge.
So many names and personalities to learn.
I have a naturally high pitched voice, yet I still can command.
I hope one day they'll become leaders and understand.

Leading people takes work.
You have to think on your feet.
Always planning ahead for what's in store that week.
You have to keep your cool, but make a point.
Leave your mark and train new leaders.
Building bonds, you push me to be greater.
I appologize for any harm I may have caused.
I may have been mad at the moment.

Writing tons of demerits when you left.
'Cause my cadets would do something stupid.
So many times I wanted to strangle kids.
Now I look back and laugh.
Our flight was real talkative class.
Though we were real with each other.
Even right now, I still check on them.
I still have their backs.
'Cause I'll always be your "mother."
And you'll always be "that class."
