Society Sonnet

Society is confused all the time.
They expect me to be great when I’m not.
The kids are all way too obsessed with slime.
We are too lazy when it’s cold or hot.

Adults teach us lessons from books on shelves.
Teens by the day grow even more lazy.
Adults can’t follow instructions themselves.
Yet wonder why their kids are so crazy.

Integrity has pretty much died out.
We try talking, but don’t really know how.
Kids don’t know how to lose; they cry and pout.
That is what’s wrong with society now.

I challenge you to change the way you think.
Try to make all the stereotypes shrink.
