I am careful and cautious
I wonder if I’ll ever amount to anything
I hear my own voice taunting me
I see my own future
I want to succeed
I am careful and cautious
I pretend that it doesn’t get to me
I feel a little lost
I touch my temples in frustration
I worry that I won’t be enough
I cry when my thoughts overwhelm me
I am careful and cautious
I understand that it’s all in my head
I say “Everything will turn out fine”
I dream that I am happy with my future
I try to convince myself it’s true
I hope that in the end, it’s all okay
I am careful and cautious

Hi! If you didn't read the book description, all these poems were part of a portfolio I was assigned. They had templates I had to follow. This particular poem was called an "I am" poem. I actually hate the template, but I did my best. It goes as follows:
I am *two characteristics*
I wonder *something you're curious about*
I hear *imaginary sound*
I see *imaginary sight*
I want *actual desire*
I am *repeat first line*
I pretend *something you pretend*
I feel *a feeling you have*
I touch *imaginary touch*
I worry *something that bothers you*
I cry *something that makes you sad*
I am *repeat first line*
I understand *something you know is true*
I say *something you believe*
I dream *ambition or dream*
I hope *a hope or desire*
I am *repeat first line**Creativity goes here when writing the above poem*
