She had been in the hospital for a week... and she didn't look like she was getting any better. "Hobi?" She asked. "Yes?" "Can we go outside?" I looked out the window. "I don't know... it's snowing..." "Please?" I sighed. "Ok." I helped her up. I put my jacket on her and wrapped a blanket around her shoulders. "What about you?" "That doesn't matter. You need to be warm." I helped her slip her shoes on and we went outside. I kept my arm around her to make sure she didn't fall. I went over to a bench and wiped the snow off it. We sat down. "Hobi?" "Yeah?" "Thanks... For everything. You've been taking really good care of me..." I smiled at her. "It's no problem. I enjoy spending my time with you." She smiled back and laid her head on my shoulder. I still had my arm wrapped around her, but I held her a little tighter. I wished I would never have to let go... But we all knew what was going to happen. None of us wanted it, but that couldn't stop it from happening. I closed my eyes and relaxed in the cold winter air. After a couple minutes, she spoke. "Hobi..?" "Hm?" "I don't want to leave..." Her voice cracked. I looked down at her, and she lifted her head to look at me. Her eyes were filled with tears. One escaped down her cheek. I used my free hand to wipe it away, as tears filled my eyes. "Y-You aren't gonna leave... You're gonna be ok..." "We both know that isn't true..." I rubbed her arm. I put my chin on top of her head, and wrapped my other arm around her, pulling her into a hug. She cried into my chest for a minute. "I-I'm cold... Let's go back in..." She said. "Ok..." I helped her back inside, and onto her bed. I pulled the covers over her. "I'm going to take a nap." She said. "Okay." She closed her eyes. I sat down. Even she knows she won't make it... No matter how hard me and Jin have tried to protect her... She knows. I sighed. I stood up and walked over to her.
Jin POV
I got to the hospital after work. I saw Hoseok walk over to a sleeping Y/N, and pull a strand of hair out of her face. He looked at her for a few seconds. Tears soon started streaming down his face, and he burried his head in the side of the bed. "I'm not ready..." He said through the tears. "I'm not... I'm not ready to lose you..." His voice cracked when he said those last two words. I felt tears fall down my face too. I'm not ready to lose her either... I saw him grab her hand. But at least she found what she was looking for... She finally found love.
Hoseok POV
I cried into the side of the bed. I could no longer hold in the emotions that were building up inside me. I held her hand. I was afraid that if I let go, she'd slip away. I was afraid I'd lose the person who had become the most important to me. The person I needed the most. Suddenly, I felt someone tap my back. "Hoseok..?" I looked up at Jin and wiped my tears. "Y-Yeah?" "You ok..?" I looked back down. "I'm not even going to say I'm fine... I'm not." He crouched next to me and hugged me. "I'm going to miss her too..." I started crying again, this time into his shoulder.
Why is it...
That the people you love the most...
Are always the first to leave?
