"Hey, Emma? We're here..." Stephanie informed as she shook her shoulder softly. "Really? We're here already?" Emma asked rubbing her eyes and sitting up in her seat. They have arrived in North Carolina.

"Yup, now get up!" Her sister said in an amused voice.

Suddenly the PA system turned on with an announcement :

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Piedmont Triad International Airport. Local time is 5:25pm and the temperature is 12 degrees Fahrenheit. On behalf of American Airlines and the entire crew, I'd like to thank you for joining us on this trip and we are looking forward to seeing you on board again in the future. Have a nice day."

Then the PA system turned off.

As the plane pulled to a stop at the gate, everybody got up from their seats and paced out of the plane in a rush leaving Emma and Stephanie sitting in their seats alone. They finally got up and walked off the plane.

Walking to the arrival hall, Emma and her sister went to the baggage claim to collect their luggage. After settling with their luggage, they left the airport and called for a taxi to drive them to their aunt and uncle's house.

They got into the taxi and flashed a smile at the taxi driver. "Where to ladies?" the man asked, smoking on his cigar vigorously.

"3306 Glen Haven Boulevard," Stephanie smiled as she took out her cell phone to check the location on the GPS in her cell phone.

The man nodded and began to drive them to their destination.

While driving, they started to have a light conversation with each other.

"So, what brings you young ladies here in Greensboro, North Carolina?" the man asked them through the rear view mirror nonchalantly.

Dreadfully, Emma and Stephanie looked at the man trying to find some words to say to him.

"We're um, uh, visiting our aunt and uncle," Emma mumbled softly.

"Yes, yes, we're visiting our aunt and uncle." Stephanie added courteously.

"Ah, I see. Well... I hope you have a great time here in North Carolina." He smiled brightly.

"Thank you," she replied, smiling back at the man.

The man looked up at her and smiled. She stared out the window excitedly, couldn't believe she was actually running away from home with her sister to North Carolina.

Emma turned on her cell phone to check some emails she might receive from Jane, but there was still no messages from her. She switched off her cell phone and took out a book from her luggage entitled The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Suddenly, the taxi pulled to a stop in front of their aunt and uncle's house.

"Okay, ladies, we have arrived." The man beamed turning his head to look at them.

"Thank you so much for the ride, here, keep the change." Stephanie grinned politely.

Stepping out of the vehicle steadily, Emma and Stephanie walked up to their aunt and uncle's doorstep anxiously.

"Steph? I'm a little nervous." Emma said fearfully.

"Oh, it's okay, Emma it'll be fine. Trust me..." Stephanie said with a reassuring smile plastered on her face.

Emma nodded as she softly rang the doorbell twice and dust off their clothes.

A few minutes later, their aunt opened the front door looking astonished as she saw her favorite nieces standing at her doorstep despairingly. She looked up at them and cupped their faces in her hands.
