Kill It with Fire (and Water)

After the night, I went to the Corruption to beat the Eater of Worlds. Like what I mentioned before, I have the Water Bolt. And it has an advantage against the Eater because it has many segment and the bolt can penetrate. And also the bolts can bounce on walls so the splitting problem is solved by excess damage from the bouncing bolts.

In the chasm, I placed platforms and rope columns for easy movement. Then I decided to use the Cell Staff to ward those Eaters of Souls and for beating the boss. Besides, I have a theory about every monstrosity is stronger and that includes the bosses. Imagine the Moon Lord being overpowered, that will be too much for the Prismate Family to handle. After that, I covered the cherry bombs with slime gel to make it sticky and locate the Shadow Orbs. They emit auras and people nearby feel it's presence, and it will be stronger as the person gets closer to it. I found seven and make new pathways with the bombs. My pickaxe can't break it anyway and I used a hammer to break the orbs. What I got from the first three orbs are the Musket with ammo, an another shadow orb (the one that emits light and follows the user.), and the Vilethorn, a perfect weapon for the Eater if I don't have the Water Bolt. 

After I broke the third orb and obtained the Vilethorn, the chasm starts to shake and the Eater of Worlds slid out of the ravines. I went to the flat opening to fight it. As I summon the bolts, the boss' segments each spit a vile slime which is similar to what the Corruptors spit. Thanks to both the water bolts and the mini star cell, I emerged victorious. The spitting is one of the differences, but the most bizarre is the bag lying in its wake. It has a picture of the Eater of  Worlds and what's inside it is a scarf version of it. To be honest, it look cute for something from the Corruption so I wrap it around my neck and it's fuzzy to me but is fine.

After I broke three more orbs and defeated the second Eater of Worlds, I realized that the scarf absorbs some damage from it. Sometimes thing that are new to you are more useful than it looks. I drank the recall potion and returned home.

Sorry about the erasure. While I'm filling my journal about my battle between the Eater of World, I heard an ear-piercing screech. That just happened, at least Azelf told me the biggest weakness of it: a Flare Gun. So I grabbed my Flare Gun and my new set of Shadow Armor from Demonite and Shadow Scales and waited outside.

The Eye of Cthulhu appeared and as it approached me, I shot the flare signal and the giant eyeball bursts into flames. I'm trying not to laugh as it was burning. Then seconds later it started to spin. I know that it will turn into a gaping mouth but I noticed that it happen earlier than usual. New thing learned. But suddenly, the eyeball made very fast charges and moves in a 'W' way. I was not expecting that to happen, so I panicked and ran away. As I ran, I tripped on a rock and fell. The eye was getting closer and I closed my eyes, accepting my deathwish. But instead, the eye exploded into pieces. I went silence until I started laughing like a maniac. After a minute, I stopped and find a bag similar to what I found after defeating the Eater of Worlds only it have the picture of the eye and a spiked shield that resembles the eye in its second form. That one crazy day I have.

Oh wow. Three entries in one day and this being twice as long as the expected maximum amount of words in each entry. I think I should take a break now. Anyway, the next chapter is a scene with Azelf and company so stay tuned for the next part of Stadust's Journal.
