Haley's P.O.V
Maddie Ziegler actually talked to me! She didn't say a lot but now she knows that I'm not the brat everyone says I am.
But, I can tell by her face after Miss Abby said that Gieno was in a coma that she really likes him. I didn't bother to ask because I don't want to ruin the start of a new friendship. It's Friday and Miss Abby is letting us have the day off. So I invited Maddie over for a sleepover.
( At the sleepover )
"Hi!" Maddie exclaims smiling.
"Hello, I was SO excited for our sleepover it's gonna be awesome!" I reply grinning.
"Yeah, where do I put my stuff?" She questions.
"In my room follow me." I guide her to my immense room.
"Wow, your room is AWESOME! You have one of those beds that is a bunk bed with a space instead of a bed underneath! Lucky! Are all these dance trophies yours?" She questions eagerly.
"Yeah!" I zeal, "So, my mom is gonna take us to a red box by QFC to rent a movie then, get candy for later tonight. Then we are going to go to the awesome park by my house."
"Cool! I am like SO frantic about our sleepover!"Maddie says.
"Me too, let's go remind my mom before she falls asleep writing." I hesitate.
"Your mom writes books?" Maddie asks, with integrity.
"Uh-huh. She likes to write books for Tweens and says that I inspire her." I reply flipping my hair with my hand.
We giggle, then go remind my mom. She drives is there and me and Maddie choose, "Divergent" as our movie and for candy we buy Milk Duds, Sour Patch Kids, and Peach rings. My mom drops us off at the park while she runs errands.
"This is the best sleepover EVER!" Maddie shouts.
"You bet. Hey speaking of bets I bet I can do more front flips on the bars than you." I tease running to the bars.
"Oh it's on!" She sasses, bounding on the bar.
We keep going round and round 'til I think I am gonna puke and then Maddie stops.
"Are you okay?" I wonder.
"Yeah, I'm just glad that we didn't eat that pizza yet." She replies sarcastically.
We laugh until our sides hurt.
"Sorry, for everything that's happened. I thought I was getting summer dance lessons I didn't know I was going to be on the show and stuff. But, what Miss Abby means as in replacing you means that I am next in line but you are still the best. I kicked out the worse person not you." I explain hoping she'll understand. Was I being too serious?
"Oh, I didn't know that and hey it's totally fine. I was being a jerk by not talking to you. I was acting like such a snotty bratty girl! So, actually I am sorry. Forgive each other?" She asks reaching out her hand.
"Forgive each other." I reply shaking we hand.
The. We return home and eat pizza, watch Divergent, eat the candy, write Gieno get well soon cards, play truth or dare, twenty questions, headbands, and minute to win it.
Then, we get onto boys.
"So who do you like?" I question.
"Gieno, I guess. He kissed me on the Ferris wheel that day I ran off crying." She says.
"Oh, I like Josh Hyland..." I giggle.
Finally, after hours and hours of talking we finally fell asleep. Maddie was my new best friend 😄
