I look into the eyes of them,
The eyes of me and you,
They look so familiar,
They look as we once did,
They run and chase one another in the open meadow,
Running and laughing without a care,
The little ones are our's to have,
We watch them and protect them,
Worrying every second,
We look at them now and are reminded of ourselves,
Reminded of our pasts,
Now we wonder what is to become of them,
Will they be like us?
Will they not?
We do not know,
But we can wish for the best,
Wish for the best for our children
