3: i missed you pt 1/ ben hardy

Request: Ben hardy x reader where she's upset that they don't spend a lot of time together? They call everyday but she keeps making excuses to avoid talking to him and when he can finally get a hold of her she just says she missed him and he comes back home for a few days? Angst and fluff please!

Just pretend that the two of you live in New York :)

You don't know why you don't want to talk to him. You're dying to talk to him. You're tired of only being able to see his face on the screen of your phone. But every time he calls you make up another excuse to hang up.

"I have to go to work."/"I'm getting in the shower."/"I'm about to eat lunch."/"I'm sick."

Anything you can think of to make your plan work, you'll say.

It breaks your heart to see him frowning. But you can't stand the fact that you won't be able to see him for months.

Ben is away filming his new movie, Bohemian Rhapsody, and he's always busy. And you know that he can't just drop everything for you. That's unreasonable. You just want to see him in person, actually feel him next to you.

Ben thinks he did something wrong , he can't figure out why you never want to talk. He feels so guilty. But he can't ask you about it, because you never talk.

He misses you, so much. More than he ever thought he could. He can't wait to get home, and hold you close to him. Your head on his chest, and him drawing shapes on your back.

"Ben, what's wrong? You've been out of it all day..." Joe asks him.

"It's (y/n).. She's acting strange and I don't know why. Every time we talk, she makes up excuses to not speak to me."

"How long has it been since you've seen her?"

"We FaceTimed last week?"

Joe rolls his eyes at his younger friends answer. "No, I mean, physically been in the same place."

"I left at the end of August, and it's November, so three months?"

"Call her, and talk to her, I have a plan."

It's a few hours after Joe and Bens conversation. Ben is now sitting in his trailer, his finger hovering over the call button. He hesitantly pushes it, and presses the phone against his ear.

"Hello?" You answer.

Ben releases a sigh of relief. "Hey, love.. Can we talk?"

"Oh, I'm really busy ri—"

"(Y/n), please! You haven't been talking to me lately and it's making me think I did something wrong."

He hears you sigh. "I'm sorry, I just really miss you right now, and it's hard knowing I can't see you."

Ben feels his heart twist. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset."

"I'll be fine... I'm going to go to bed."

"I love you," Ben tells you.

There's no reply, and he sees that you hung up.

The next morning, Ben wakes up and sees there's a message from the director on his phone.

We're taking a week long break from filming. See you all next Monday.

A few moments later, he receives a text from Joe.

Your flight leaves at 11. Come get your plane ticket before you leave :)

Ben rushes to joe's trailer, a huge smile on his face.

"I'm assuming you got us the break?"

Joe nods. "You can't focus anymore. This break will do you some good."

"Thank you. I can't wait to see her."

Joe looks at the watch on his wrist. "You need to go," he says, handing Ben the plane ticket.

"I seriously can't thank you enough."

"You can do that when you get back!"

The plane ride feels like forever to the impatient man. When he feels like plane touch the ground, his nerves start getting worse. He shouldn't be nervous, he knows that. But he's scared that you won't react well to him behind there.

Ben calls a cab to take him to your shared apartment. It's early, almost 7 AM. He knows you're probably still asleep, but he can't wait to see you.

Ben can smell the coffee from the hallway. Know that he knows you are awake, he reaches up and knocks on the door. He wants to surprise you, and he can't do that if you're in the kitchen.

The door slowly swings open.

"Ben?" You ask, shock clear in the tone of your voice. "What are you doing here?"

He doesn't say anything, but he wraps his arms around you. "Joe helped me come home for a few days. I missed you so much."

"I missed you too..." you smile. "But how long are you here?"

He frowns. "Only for a week... But we'll be done filming in January. And then I'm all yours. But I don't want to think about that right now. All I want is to cuddle with my girl."

"I don't want you to leave again..."

"Why don't you come with me?"

You sit up on the bed, and push yourself against the headboard. "I can't just leave and go with you, Ben."

"It's only for a couple of months... And I don't want to leave you here by yourself again."

You think about it for a moment. "Okay, I'll do it."

Ben smiles, quickly kissing your cheek. "I can't wait for you to meet the guys. And Brian and roger. They're going to love you!"
