10: The Public's Eyes/ Rami Malek

Part two of best friends! 😁

The premiere for the movie came a lot faster than you thought it would.

You're kind of dreading it, if you're being completely honest. You and Rami haven't spoken in a while, and you barely talk to the other cast.

But, Brian and Roger wanted to make sure you were there. You helped a lot throughout the filming process, and made a short little cameo in the movie.

Your doorbell rings right as you finish your makeup. You rush down to the door, opening it to see Joe Mazzello.

"(Y/n)!" He smiles.

"Hi, Joe! Let me grab my bag and I'll be ready."

The only cast member you've talked to regularly since filming ended was Joe. He's been there for you through thick and thin.

"Rami's gonna freak when he sees you..." joe tells you on the ride over.

"Why? He made it clear that he didn't want a relationship."

Joe looks out the window. "I think he regrets that decision. I think he fell in love too fast. It scared him."

"What about Lucy? Weren't they together?"

"I can't answer that, honestly. It all seems so weird to me. It's you he wants, but the public wants Lucy."

You don't know what else to say.

"I know, it's a lot to take in..."

Before you know it, you arrive at Wembley. Joe helps you out of the car, and you wrap your around around his.

The two of you make your way to the carpet, and Joe lets you go. He walks in front of you, and you wait until he gets a few feet ahead of you before walking out yourself.

You smile for the many, many photos that are being taken, before being pulled away by an interviewer.

"Miss (y/n) Mercury- (l/n). How are you feeling?"

You smile. "Good, I'm super excited to see the film! Everyone worked so hard to make this film the best it can be. And I'm so proud of them."

"And do you have a certain someone? Maybe Mr. Malek, the star of this film?"

"No, Rami and I are just friends..." you tell them, quite annoyed by their question. "And to be quite honest, it's none of your damn business."

You walk away from him, and walk towards the cast, who are standing with Brian and Roger.

"(Y/n)!" Roger smiles, giving you a quick hug. And Brian does the same.

You snap some photos before making eye contact with Rami.

He quickly looks away, his cheeks growing slightly red.

You want to speak to him, but before you get the chance, Lucy comes over and steals him away to take pictures.

"It's time to head inside and get out seats," Joe tells you.

You're sitting in between Joe and...of course, Rami.

Throughout the film, all of you are singing and dancing along to music, and many tears are shed.

You remain seated while everyone else around you gets up and leaves.

"I'll catch up with you," You call out to Joe.

He nods and leaves with Ben and Gwilym.

"(Y/n).."

You look up to see Rami standing in front of you.

"Hi.."

"I'm so sorry." He states.

"There's nothing to be sorry about. You made it clear that it wasn't me that you wanted."

Rami groans, his fingers running through his hair. "I don't want to be with her! It's you, it's always been you! They wanted publicity for the movie. They wanted the public's eyes on us, hoping to make more money. We aren't happy. And I want you, and only you."

His breathing is heavy, and his eyes are filled with fear.

"Rami.." you say. "I think we should take chances more often, don't you think?"
