She threw herself at heartbreak,
Like a moth drawn to a flame,
Patching up her broken wings,
Just to try it once again,
And the world all thought her foolish,
For she never seemed to learn,
But how can you save somebody,
Who's so convinced they should burn?

The moment she stopped faking happy,
When she realised she wasn't 'alright',
Was when the sun always rose in the morning,
But her world stayed dark at night.

Later that night
I held an atlas in my lap,
Ran my fingers across the whole world
And whispered
Where does it hurt?

It answered
Everywhere
Everywhere
Everywhere

- Warsan Shire

"I can't decide"
He said,
"Whether you are wild wrapped in fragile or fragile wrapped in wild"
"Well that depends on the day"
I replied with a smile.

Forgive yourself. Not just once. Again, and again, and again. As many times as it takes to find peace.

A lot of people ask me what my biggest fear is, or what scares me the most. And i know they expect answers like heights, or closed spaces, or people dressed like animals, but how do i tell them that when i was 17 i took a class called relationships for life and i learned that most people fall out of love for the same reason they fell in it. That their lovers once endearing stubbornness has now become refusal to compromise and their one track mind is now immaturity and their bad habits that you once adored is now money down the drain. Their spontaneity becomes reckless and irresponsible and their feet on your dash is no longer sexy but just another distraction in your busy life. Nothing saddens and scares me like the thought that i can become ugly to someone who once thought all the stars were in my eyes.

Shes intimidating and brooding and she scares people away, because she's not made of sugar and spice and everything nice. But rather with thunder and lightening and everything frightening. People see the smoldering flames and the raging winds and they think that she's strong. They think that she's powerful. But really, she just tends to burn herself down.

Perhaps it was because her life had been rather clear- cut with nothing of challenge or consternation to develop her character. Or perhaps it was because little was expected of her, or that she had never witnessed need. And perhaps all of that had made her heart a bit small, a bit cold, a bit distant and little inclined to care...

- A Tale of a Snow Queen

She is strong but she is a child

She is a child

"How can we expect righteousness to prevail when there is hardly anyone willing to give himself up individually to a righteous cause. Such a fine sunny day and i have to go but what does my death matter, if through us thousands of people are awakened and stirred to action?"

When i was little i told my dad i stubbed my toe so he told me to bite my finger until i forgot about the toe and was only thinking of the finger.
To take one pain away by focusing on another.
Sounds quute similar to something i do now.

Day after day
I walk the same streets,
Waiting for a moment,
When somebody's feet,
Stops traversing the sidewalk,
And simply stand,
By my lone figure,
And reach for my hand,
A gesture so simple,
Yet so hard to do,
To stick to the promise,
Of "I'll be here for you",
We don't fight the same battles,
But we fight the same wars,
And I'll give you my trust,
If you give me yours,
For as long as this world,
Keeps coming untied,
I'll be there to fix it,
Right by your side,
But no feet stop walking,
They all have somewhere to be,
Until the only ones left,
Are my shadow and me.
