The sound of gas running through the tunnels filled his ears as Percy got up from being knocked out by the bobbies. His heart was racing and his breaths were short, trying to remember what just happened.
"Jesus, how far did those bastards chase me?!" Percy asked himself. "There were tunnels, weren't there and pipes, I don't think I'm in the Parade anymore, I don't even think I'm still in the bloody Village at any rate"
Percy tried to open the door that he was trying open previously, but...
"Not getting out that way" Percy then tried the other door on the other side of the tunnel, but that one was blocked too. "The bobbies must have gotten out of there in a hurry and left me behind, must have been worried about the gas, how...how...how thoughtful of them"
Percy only had one route to go, downstairs into the other rooms. He hoped that he would not regret his decision. He did find money and bits of metal, he thought that it could be useful. Percy then found another note in one of the bathrooms, Prudence had left the facility and ran away.
"I hope I see you again, Pru" Percy scavenged for any more useful items that he could find, after finding what he needed he came across a locked door. "I wonder if I can use those bits of metal to make a lock-pick?"
Percy grabbed the bobby pins from his pockets and crafted a lock-pick, in all fairness, he was really happy with his craftsmanship.
"There we are, all that time of Arthur teaching me, along with me and Meg playing with each other finally pay off" Percy noted as he fiddled with the door lock, trying to get it open, which he did. After he got it open, he saw someone lying on the floor, deceased. "What happened to him, or rather who?"
Percy then saw useful gadget that he could possibly see an opportunity for later. Something glowed in the corner of his eye, it was a mask, glowing bright yellow and floating. Percy picked it up inspected it, he tried in on and soon a flashback played in his head.
(Train whistles)
"Are they going to hurt us?"
"No one's going to hurt you, Percy...I promise"
"But, what about the others?"
"They'll be fine, I...you...we'll look out for each other"
"But what do we do when we're on the train?"
"We're brothers! We'll look out for each other, that's what we'll do"
Percy then saw the mask vanish before him, just him hearing his younger brother in his head was already bringing back painful memories. However, he had to continue on, finding a damp journal and unlocking a door with the gadget he found, Percy knew that he was making progress. That was until someone grabbed him and pushed him against the wall.
"We've come to the end of our time!" The man chanted. Percy knew he only had one option...fight. After a few seconds of dodging, blocking and punching, Percy emerged victorious, quite surprised.
"That is by far, the first fight I've won since...since secondary school" Percy noted. "In fact...I think that it's the first fight I've been in since secondary school"
Percy shrugged off the event that had just happened and pressed the button that actives the ladder. He thought about pulling the lever too, so that's what he did. It turned out, it was a travel hatch that could help him.
"Hopefully, I can find some others around here" Percy climbed up the ladder and saw the beautiful green flora that covered the environment. "Aha! The bridge, if I can...if I can get the train station under the tunnels, then that'll lead lead me to the bridge!"
