Firstly, I would like to thank you for giving attention to this story. As some of you may know, this is the translated version by me. I wrote this in Malay Language as I am Malay and Malaysian, and Malay is my first language. However, i won't take it as a token for me writing blindly. If you recognise any grammatical error, never hesitate to correct me. 😉😉😉

If you had read my first English book, the Tales of Angel and Devil (TaeRin fanfic), you may found I 'swore' that I won't write in English. Well, let's just forget that since the views on English version is more than Malay version. 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

So, without wasting time.. Here is the third chapter of Second Chance.

YUNA'S POV

Finally, bank account, passport and all that I might need in America had been done. Today, I'm going to fly with Yewon. I covered my face with mask so that no one will recognise me. At the departure station, I need to bring down my mask and I did. After my face had been matched with the picture in the passport, I walked to the waiting area. Yewon came after me. We left our big luggage just now. Now, all of the passengers are invited to fill in the addressed flight. My heart couldn't stop from beating fast even after I entered the flight.

Hours later, we arrived. Kim Sojung, Yewon's big sister waited for us. THe sisters hugged each other, telling how missed they are towards each other. Yewon introduced me to her sister and I bowed. Sojung eonni came towards me and hugged me. I hugged her back.

"Let's go home," Sojung eonni welcomed us and we tailed her.

"How long is your holiday, Yewon?" Sojung eonni asked, breaking the silence that filled in the car.

"A week, sis," Yewon responded. Well, her annual leave had been used up to keep me accompany for a week, after Jungkook did 'that' to me. So, for now, Yewon took non-paying leave.

"Ahh.. too soon... See! I've told you to just work at dad's company but you refused! Still wanna work at other's company!" Sojung eonni started to babble.

Yewon's father owned a company in US, not in Korea. That's why Yewon didn't want to work in her dad's company. She chose to live in Korea. So, her big sister had to work in that company alone.

"Hurm.. stop arguing this topic," Yewon started to speak in English. Sojung eonni laughed a bit and continued her driving to home.

I was been taken care well by them. Sojung eonni gave a position to in her company. Due to my unsettling documents, I was being commanded to just send my resume and cover letter to Human Resource Department as a record. It's a bit hard to work here, not as easy as I was in Korea as my co-workers are racist. They are nice to our boss though she is Korean maybe because.. yeah.. well.. She is a boss! While me.. I'm just a worker there. My level is lower than manager, so they might took that as a ticket to look down on me. But, I'm glad that Sojung eonni gave me this position, rather than I just stay at home. Here, I used my Catholic name, Angelica.

8 YEARS LATER

"Yewon, what happened to my dad's company?" I asked through phone. Though it had been 8 years since I migrated to Minnesota, I did 'stalked' business issues in Korea through internet. There, I knew that my dad's company was crumbling down bit by bit.

"Your dad sold a lot of his share to save your company, Yuna. But, according to the media, your dad had shut down your branches in Japan and China. I don't have anybody in the company to ask for more," Yewon replied. I massaged my dizzy head.
