He had to get out of that mess. Fletcher just couldn't bare it. He hadn't gone to his house. But instead, landed on the highest peek of his city marry mountain. It had the best view of the while city. At the peek he could see the stars, something that he could not do at his house.
He rested his head on a rock. He was laying on his back. He had been there for hours. He had waited to marvel at the stars. He had always enjoyed the company of his bright, but very far friends. He had went up here numerous times to relieve stress. It calms him down. It was peaceful up there. The coldness of the mountain really helps to relief all the built up stress. Even through he was at .1% he was tired. He didn't have a lot to work with. It was about time to return home. Even though being at 100% felt good, it can't happen again. Last time he did, it wasn't all smile's. But sometimes he thinks 'to hell with it' and thinks that people are to unfair to try and protect, but then he comes here, and cools down. Even through he wants to let go of all the demons free, he will still holds the gun, and his will to live. There are good people worth living for, and those people don't deserve death. She sure as hell didn't, but life had different plans. And what was that? Oh yeah, that suicidal bomber that thinks his pain should be taken out in innocent people. It wasn't all his fault, that girl also had to do with it. It was her that encouraged him to do it. She's the one to blame for his loss.
Fletcher shook his head, as if clearing it. He promised himself that he wouldn't reflect back at his life. He got up and walked. As Fletcher went down the path, a girl on a bike came down the mountain. She seemed a bit familiar. But he brushed it aside. Apparently, she knew him. She stopped beside him.
"Fletcher?" She said timidly.
He looked around. Well he didn't need to. He was the only Fletcher that he knew of.
"Sorry, but do you know me?" He asked. He didn't know her. She reacted like he hit her.
"Um, I'm Nova, you know, the girl that sits infront you." She said. Ohh, that's why she was so familiar to him.
"Oh yeah, sorry, I didn't have a great day."
"Tell me about it. The way that you beat all those scary men. All of them armed too, it was very, heroic." She said. She seemed shy, but he could tell that she was...dense, in a way.
That's not what I ment.
"Did the police tell the students anything?" Fletcher asked her.
"Y-yeah, they talked to us for a bit. They said that thanks to you, they where able to catch the people that robbed a bank not so far away. And that you where badly hurt, but?" She scanned him up and down, saying that she didn't see any injures.
"They docter said that it was a lot better then it looked." He lied. Her face filled with relief.
"So what are you doing up here?" Fletcher asked her.
"I-I live down there." She said, and pointed at a small house down the road. Not that far away.
"what are you doing up here?" She asked. She was far to timid for his taste. But for some reason, it seemed a bit, cute.
"I like to come up here to look at the stars." He said and pointed at the sky.
She smiled.
"Time to time, I like to do that too" she admitted. It got quiet.
"So I'll be leaving. See ya." He said, and started to walk down the road.
But Nova caught up to him.
"Wait, c-can I ask you a favor?" She asked.
"Depends."
"C-can you cook?" She asked.
"Yeah, a bit, why?"
she didn't answer. He could hear a sound. Her stomach started to growl.
"Uh" she started to blush.
"Seriously?" She blushed scarlett.
"Fine." He said. Her face instantly lit up.
"Then lets go!" She said excited. Nova started to pedal away.
"Wait!" He called. He started to chase after her. She didn't listen to him. He was tired when he got there. Nova was waiting for him.
"Come in."she said, and opened the door with her keys. Once he entered he could feel an era that he had not yet experienced. Like it was, humid, but also dry. Like a mash of opposite emotions. It was a weird.
"So what do you want to eat?" He asked and walked to the refrigerator. It was stocked full with ingredients. Well isn't that convenient? He thought. "Mmm, surprise me." She said.
"Okay, lets see here" he said. He grabbed the milk to get it out the way. His back to her, a terribal mistake. He dropped the milk, but it wasn't his fault, the nerves on his hand didn't...work. He widened his eyes in terrible pain around his chest. He looked down to see a glowing blade sticking out of his stomach. I know this type of blade. He thought. The blade retracted, adding more to his agony. He groaned in pain.
"You him aren't you? Of course you are. I never thought I see you, I guess I got lucky huh." Somebody said he slowly turned to see the culprit. It was Nova. He stood aghast.
"I wonder why you turned so weak, they said that you where so powerful, guess they didn't get the chance to analyse you fully. Taking out the fact that your a male, and actually have the power." She said calmly. Fletcher master up all the mana he could sum up in his body.
"You dont know anything!" He yelled and puched her stomach. His fist burst with light, and the impact let out a wave of mana. She didn't expect the punch. She blasted through the walls, and landed forty meters away. She lay on the ground. He got up. By this time the wound already outohealed itself. He walked up to her. He looked at her
"How do you know about me?" He asked. "You've never seen me before, how did you recognize me?" She was still conscience. But then she disappeared. He looked up. Nowhere is site. Then he sensed her. He turned around to see her right on his face, her knee more precisely. He also went flying.
"I thought you had me, whats your limiter at?" She asked. He was .1%
Saying that he had a maximum of
.1% of all his power. He hasn't gone above 10 in quite some time.
"There's no obligation for me to answer your question." He responded.
"Well if you wanted to know, mines at 25. Haha, dont worry, for your sake, I won't raise it." She said cockly. He smiled. He looked at her, and turned away.
"H-hay" she called. She dashed to him. He swiftly turned and uppercut, she went up thirty feet. He jumped up to her elevation, and hit towards the ground. She went back down instantly, formaing a small creater. She gasped for air. He fell next to her.
"Your people where wrong to send you down here, but I want to know, why did you wait so long to make your move?" He honestly asked.
"I dont need to tell-" he raised his fist and prepared to land the blow, light radiating from it. She put her hands up, as if asking for mercy.
"Okay Okay okay okay, I tell you, but please, dont hit me again" she said.
She knew that one hit was all it took to end it all. He eased his faceal expresion, and let his fist slowly rest.
"I came bacaus I ran away, I didn't get sent" she said. Now that made no sence, with her power, she would qualify to be on of a high ranking level. He gleared at her.
"I might not beleive you, but if what you did is for other reasons then what I'm thinking about, then I'll let it slip" he said, and backed away. She got up, and ran after him. She stopped about three feet behind him.
"Your not what everone says you where. If I'm right, then your the one that killed my grandfather. And now, your acting...kind." She said. He didn't turn to look at her.
"What happened to you" she asked.
"I...I came to realize my mistakes and tried to learn from them, If you seek, you'll find." He said. And vanished. He landed in his bedroom. He layed down on his bed. All that agitation started to take a toll on his body. He felt stiff. Just tired, he wanted to go to sleep. Onced he closed his eyes, he didnt open them again until the morning.

He woke up feeling refreshed. He got up, and got dressed. He tried to think what Nova was going to do. He shrugged off thinking that she wouldnt say a word. Once he got there, the whole class applaud him.
"Well done, with the robbers I mean." A girl said. Oh yeah, I had forggoten about that. He turned to see Betty glaring at him. Crap. He walked up to her.
"Whats with the gloomy face?" He asked. She squinted her eyes more.
"We need to make arrangements for your 'bithday'. " Fletcher had forgotten about his cycle. The day was tomorrow.
"Don't worry about that, I have that covard."
"Thanks for saving use yesterday." She said loudly, so the whole class could hear. They started to clap again. He looked over at Nove, she was clapping too, and she was smiling. Something she never done before. It wasn't a cruel, or creepy smile. But a sweet and innocent one. That was a bit strange. One day, she tried to kill him, the other, she apploud his heroic acts. He made sure to take note of talking to her later in the day. After a while, things started to calm down. By the middle of the day, the whole school forget about the incident, and with that, who Fletcher was. But for Fletcher, it was for the better. After school, Fletcher caught up to Nova, tapping her shoulder on her way home.
"I knew you where going to ask questions. I'm going to put aside how you can even use them" She told him.
"I need answers."
"What is it?"
"How did you know that it was me, up on the maintain?"
"I've got eyes on a five mile radius of the whole place. The only way up there, is through the trail up. You for some reason got there without triggering the alarms. Once I saw somebody up there, I knew something was wrong."
"Okay, what have they told you about me?"
"All the information they could get there hands on. That your'll the lost child of the All Mighty One. And that, somehow, you inherited a lot of his powers."
"Okay...whats your overall power limiter?" She gave a look saying that she didn't want to tell him. Telling that information, was like asking for personal information. But one glare from Flecther made her spit it out.
"2,500" she said. That was a bit above the averge of an elite worrior. He backed off. He walked away.
"Thats it? You not going to tell me yours?" She asked. He stopped. Pause.
"No." He said firmly. He went home. Nothing out of the ordinarily happened afterwords.

Once he got to school, he needed to talk to Nova. But Venus, got in the way.
"Its your birthday today isn't it? She asked. He, of course forgotten about the day. He needed to be prepared.
"Yeah."
"Well, then, happy birthday." She smiled.
"Thanks." He said, and tried to turn away.
"Its impossible to get any other emotions out of you." She said.
"Not true, I have other emotions, but I can't let them win, if they do, hell will break loose." He tried to give a small hint. She put on a puzzled look.
"I've tried. Three times. Each time a success, but when I get nothing in return, then thats when I think its not worth it."
"What are you taking about?" She asked. He walked away.
"Nevermind." He said before he reached Nova.
"I need a favor to ask. Its my cycle today."
"Oh is it? I guess I be maintaining the mana in a bubble then." She said. He nodded.
"We can use my house." He said.
"Are you not worried that I'll know where you live?"
"No, bacause I know you won't do anything." He glared at her as a warning. She put her hands up mockingly as if innocent.
"I wont. I won't."
"Good." He went to class, as Betty walked in and instructed to sit down.

As Fletcher and Nova passsd the front door of Fletcher house, Nova seemed to have been hoping to find something more...exciting.
"Its not much, but this is where I stay." He said, sensing Nova's negative emotions.
"Thanks for having me." She said and walked in. After a couple of minutes, he could feel it coming up.
"Its time." He said. She nodded, and waved her hands in a circle movement. Voilet light burst, and moved forword, and expanding. Until it came to rest as a bubble around Fletcher. He was on a knee. He felt a slight pain, but it begain to grow. He tried to control it. But as it grew, he couldn't. All the built up mana from his expansion of power, was rushing out of him. He screamed at the pain. The black lighting bolts hiting the walls of the bubble, with purple flashes of light. Venus keeping her arms, almost clenched, was struggling to keep the barrier up. She was also feeling a sting of pain on her hands. Light accumulated at Fletcher chest. It, then, was released in one big wave. The illumination was extremely hot, and bright. But it ended as fast as it came. The wave sent Nova flying, breaking the bubble. Fletcher was conscience, barely. Enough to see a cake spattered on the floor. And a voice identical to Venus's say:
"What was that?"
