"Hena." Fletcher said.
"Don't use my name so freely, I'm the duchess of the Skylande after all." She was right if she fallowed normal logic. It was Hena, the only one that knew of Fletchers existence, excluding mother and father. The two siblings where glaring at each other. Fletcher knew that Hena was a skilled magic user, 5% would be the smallest number Fletcher would need to put his limiter to, to be able to scratch here. With a power level of 100,000 she ranks in the top 5 of the best. The audience was completely aghast of the sight of her.
"Get this weak ass spell out of my face." She said and snapped. The green force around them, was shattered, the mages around them dropped to the ground. Hena jumped into the arena.
"Big sis, I can explain." Seth said and raised his hands up in incents He instantly got slapped, it sounded painful. His head tilted pretty fast.
"You idiot, I told you to get him in secret, now, all of Skylande knows he's here." She said, and slapped him again, on the other cheek this time.
"And you!" She said to Fletcher this time.
"Your the problem of this mess!" She said. A glowing sword erected from her forearm. She slashed at Fletcher, but he took a step back, and was stabbed from behind, a glowing sword protruded from his stomach. Fletchers eyes widened. He spat out blood. He coughed to try and fill his lungs.
"Pathetic, I can feel your heart slow down. I heard you became more powerful. Guess I got my hopes up for nothing."
She said and tossed him aside. He lay still.
"Problem fixed." She said.
"No way." Seth said, amazed at her speed.
"The only problem that hasn't been fixed, is you." Fletcher said. He got up as if strings did. He didn't bend his knees, and they where outstretched.
"Healing crystals? That's pretty cheap don't you think?"
"Who said anything about an injury?" Fletcher said. His limiter was at 5% Fletcher slowly felt his thoughts became more like what they used to. He felt like giving no mercy, and that's why, he raised it to 6%
"Your left eye has a tinge of red in it, looks like what you did back then. All blood red eyes, navy hair color, muscular. Seems to be a sign that you raised you limiter. Seth said 25? Maybe you went max, should be easy." Hena said and took a pose. Fletcher had blood on his shirt, so you took it off. What was noodle arms at .1, he had some muscle now. Looked like it had a lot bigger physically impact then what he thought. He got ready. Hena ran at him, and out of nowhere, she was holding a sword, and slashed. The two swords clashed together. Hena smiled. So did Fletcher. The both backed away, and dashed to meet in the middle.
Slash
Pieces of a sword fell to the ground. Hena looked at her sword to see that she was only holding her shaft, the blade was snapped off.
"I'll make it easier for you." Fletcher said. He threw Excalibur up in the air, and it disappeared.
"Easier? You make me laugh. 50!" She yelled. She had just raised her limiter.
Pathetic, how pathetic.
Fletcher dashed at her, hena bent backwards without moving her feet, Fletcher jumped over her, and slammed down, but she had already moved. Fletcher looked behind him, and put up his arm. Green shield protected him from the kunai that would have hit him. The kunai was attached to a thin chain, that returned to Hena when she pulled it. Fletcher jumped up, and slammed down his feet, only to be cought by that chain, hena twisted it, grabbing on to his feet, and slammed it to the ground. Once he saw the ground, Fletcher did a barrel row, causing the strength that Hena put into to the attached, to be reflected back at her. She was the one on the ground.
"You get your hopes up for you to be beaten, how amusing." Fletcher told her. He laughed. Fletcher then realised that he wouldn't say that under normal matters. The ground rushed back at him, smacking his face, he felt a hard tug upwards, and the ground grew distant, then a foot kicked at his stomach, hard. He flew quiet far. After doing so many flips on the ground, he got a bit dizzy. Hena was standing beside him.
"Guess I shouldn't have let my guard down. You really did grew in levels, your at max, and I'm at 50, you can't beat me." She said. She started to itch a small symbol on the air, red line fallowed her finger. She jumped back, and huge flames swallowed Fletcher. Fire magic. Hena had her arms together, hold the spell in place. Fletcher looked around, and itched a spell of his own. Ice covered him, like a cacoon. Hena let go of the spell, and saw the ice.
"Huh?" The ice melted into small shards, revealing Fletcher with his hand half raised, then he pointed at Hena. The smaller shards speeded towards Hena. She punched some, dodged some, and some hit her. She dropped to her knee after the attack, covering small wholes in her skin with her hands. Her endeavor wasted on the effort of proventing the bleeding. She was gasping for air.
"Don't be so hasty to pass me as a weakling." Fletcher scolded her.
"You little-" she went to slash at his feet, but Fletcher went around her, and kicked her back. Fletcher slowly walked over to her.
"Trust me, I'm the one that's disappointed."
Fletcher said. He walked away slowly. He stopped walking because of the hysterical laughter. It was Hena.
"You disappointed? Don't make me laugh. I'm going easy by not rising my limiter, older siblings should never loose to there younger ones." Silance.
"Well, then, I'll be the first to brake that law." He said. Fletcher put up a barrier, a spear stuck to it. Fletcher turned his head to see Seth above him. Seth ran at him, but Fletcher could see that he was too slow. Fletcher dodged the blow, but Seth kept throwing punches. He kept dodging until Seth backed up a bit, then Fletcher struck. He dropped to the ground, and held up with his hands, with his feet tripped Seth. He fell, Fletcher came in to punch him, and he did. His strength greatly improved, Seth slammed into the concrete wall.
"Don't. It won't go like before." A couple seconds go by without a single voice speaking.
"If your not going to go 100, then don't try." Hena scolded.
"Thanks for the warning." Seth said, getting back upright.
"Maybe this will help you surrender." Seth took a device put of his pocket, and pressed the sole botton on it. Fletcher on one side, Seth and Hena on the other. On the wall in between the two parties, the wall, split in two. It begain to part in the middle, to reveal 5 chairs, all with accupants. Fletcher didn't look fazed on the outside, but on the inside, he was coursing the both of his siblings.
"That's pretty cowardly like. But it seems to be working, so I'll let it slide." Hena told Seth. It was the girls. They where struggling. Fletcher ran to the chairs, a green barrier appeared in front of him.
Get out of my way.
He punched it with great force, it didn't shatter instantly, but cracked, then broke into tiny pieces. He kept going. Then his body tightened, he begain to spasm. He dropped to the ground, twitching.
"We found out that electricity works best with you." Seth yelled to him. After a bit he calmed down to see the box that the girls where in was made completely of metal, conductive. There where some spark between two barbs now and then, that where pretty thick, it was a dangerous amount. Fletcher begain to itch something in the air. It was something like an invisible ball. He put the ball in between two, and made it bigger. He pushed hard, the metal curved, though it wasn't big enough for a human. He kept on pushing, until a force of energy nocked him off his feet.
"If we let you do that then the whole plan will be for nothing." Hena said.
"There is always a way to deal with your kind." Fletcher said. He took the pose of a running athlete, and he dissapeared. Before Hena could even think of counter attacking, she got her torso detached from her legs. Blood splaterd all over the floor. Her two pieces fell to the ground.
"Hena!" Seth yelled "what have yo-" he didn't finish. He got cut down the middle. More blood splaterd. The audience begain to scream and run for the exits. At 10% he really did have a lot of strength. He went up to the cage, and held the bars. Electricity ran all over his body. His hands burned. The bars exploded, he had stored the electricity, and hit it against the bars. His hands badly burned, but they healed quickly. He walked in and cut down the chairs, leting the girls free. The whole group lanched at Fletcher making them tumble down. They where crying, sobbing and all the spectrum of feelings. He let them drown him a bit longer.
"Hay, we need to get going." Fletcher warned. They calmed down a little. Because of them, his thoughts returned to normal.
"Did you...did you really" Victoria asked.
Fletcher shook his head.
"No, I put a high level healing spell on them, the best there is. I also put them under a enpain spell, they didn't feel it." He said. The girls sighed.
"I don't think I can kill my own blood, well half blood." He said.
"Do you really not know who you mother is?" Numica asked all of the sudden. Fletcher had his guard down. The rest of the girls also seemed to be interested. All of them stared at Fletcher.
"Of course I do. She's the one that tough me how to fight, how to defend myself. My power is a fourth of hers."
"Can you inherit power?" Venus asked.
"Yeah." Isa, Numica, Nova, Victoria, and Fletcher said together.
"Gee, no need to rub it in." Venus retorted. The girls laugh. Then Fletcher felt it. A big power level.
"Let's go!" Fletcher said and got up. He pushed everyone. Everyone except Venus could use power to make the faster.
"Up we go." Fletcher said and carried Venus. She yelled a bot but calmed down. The started to run, pushing off the ground with force. Fletcher turned his head for a second to see a huge spell symbol in the air, a small figure below it. Big swords slowly came out. Then they came speeding towards them with good speed.
"We got company.!" He shouted to the girls. Fletcher fell back a little to let the girls go infront of him.
"Here!" He yelled to Isa
"Wha-" Venus flew a bit and fell into her hands.
"Did you just throw me!!!" Venus yelled "You could have killed me!"
Fletcher tuned around, the swords catching up. He put up small green barriers around him. He maneuvered them with his hands. Catching most of the swords. He hoped that the ones he didn't catch where stopped by the girls. He had to do full concentration on it while still running backwards. Once the barrage of swords stopped, he looked up to see a figure move above him. It was her. The one that had a power level of 500,000 the leader of Curga. The group was here.
"Get you head in the game." Someone said. Fletcher dodged out of the way of a sword. A women with stright black, jet black hair was standing in front of him. She looked familiar.
"Get out of my way." Fletcher warned.
"Your not getting away this time. The humiliation of the the defeat still burns, you see, I'm more stronger now." Fletcher knew where he has seen here before. It was the leader of the group that attacked in the mall. Last time she had about 10,000 now, she was more then five times that amount.
" 'barrow link' have you heard of it?" She asked. He has. It was a spell that allowed someone to Barrow power from someone else. The range was pretty bad, so the other five members mist be close. His thoughts where distubered by a sword slashing at his neck. He backed up. Another slash, Fletcher simply nocked the sword out of her hand. The sword would have fallen to the ground, making a window for Fletcher to immobilize her, but the sword turned mid-air, into her grasp again.
"Your mine." The action took Fletcher off guard, he didn't get to dodge in time. His left arm got completely chopped off. She slashed again, this time at his neck. Fletcher just had enough of playing around and only using a small amount of his capacity. He went full 10% Fletcher grabbed the sword with his thumb and his pointer finger.
"Good job, you made me use a good amount of power." Fletcher said. Her eyes widened.
"Your not at one hundred?"
"Nope, not even close." He said. Black light glowed on the wound on his shoulder. A small black thread connected his arm on the ground. Pulsed, and started to shrink. In seconds, his left arm was completely normal. Fletcher looked at her.
"I gave you many chances, not my fault you didn't take them. Your pride will be your downfall." He said, and balled his left hand into a fist. He tightened his grip on the sword, shattering it. He punched at her gut, smashing through her stomach. She spat out blood. She went flying untill she hit a wall, couple hundred feet away. Fletcher jumped up, and put in 'comrades' into the database. Five small icons appeared pretty far away.
"Boots of Hermes." He said. His shoes glowed blue. He pushed off the air. He got there in 4 strides. Guards where sourounding the girls. Victoria and Nova where fighting some, while Isa and Numica where protecting Venus. Once he landed, it didn't take much to take them out.
"Let's go." Fletcher said. But he didn't take a single step. He sensed it. Or, more like her. A big mana source in one single place.
500,000. It was her. The leader. The rumors where true, she had improved. She was close. Fletcher took out Excalibur. He held it up. He didn't know where the signal was, it was moving fast. Then it rushed.
"Get back!" Fletcher yelled. Sparks came out of his sword as another hit it. Fletcher recegnized who it was he was fighting. A murderer. The person back up. Fletcher could see her a bit better. A women. She had dark crimson hair, and black eyes. She had a long coat covering her chest. But it didn't wrap around, revealing some serious clevege. She had tiny shorts that didn't leave too much to the mind. Her hair smooth, but short. Neck length. Some in between her eyes. He sword long, a katana also. Fletchers while being dark blue, hers was red with wave like pattern of black. They looked at each other.
"Long time no see, Fletcher."
"How's it going, Raven."
"It was pretty difficult to recover after you burnt down HQ, but we coped. You?"
"Fine, I guess, getting over the loss of a loved one, but it's been good." He responded. Silence. Then they both dissapeard. The same Sparks appeared in the spot in between the two. Which was now filled with them. Both where incredibly fast and strong.
"Did you see them move at all?" Isa asked.
"That's...fast." was all Victoria could say.
"You still got it." Raven called.
"You haven't lost your touch." Fletcher called back. They started to show off there swordsmanship. Raven would attack, Fletcher block, she would attack again, Fletcher would dodge. Back in fourth, only very fast. The two split for a second, both where panting.
"Come on, let's go all out, it's been a while, and I haven't had a chance yet to do so."
Fletcher didn't say anything.
"Suit yourself." She said. Something lit inside of her. She dissapeared, a bit too fast for Fletcher to notice. He saw a ice spell being casted but the Ice shard disappeared too.
Fletcher gasped in extreme pain. The ice shards appeared from below him, stabbing through his feet, up his leg, and into his torso. It was a huge piece of ice.
She combined the two spells.
"It was too bad." She said. She went to punch him. One punch from that power, would do some serious damage. He had to do something. He raised his power level. 25% 500,000. Fletcher grabbed her fist.
"Thanks." He said. He started to laugh.
"I felt like I couldn't breath. It's been nine years since I haven't had a gulp of air." He said. He tensed up his muscles, shattering the ice. The pain was receeding. Raven backed up.
"It's you?"
"Yep, miss me?"
"Yep, I missed someone being able to take me one on one."
"Well, that soft little kid is gone, so let's get going." He said and jumped up and down. Getting ready for the battle that was about to take place. Fletcher was excited instead of scared. Raven dissapeared. Fletcher kicked out, hitting her square right in the jaw. She smashed into the ground.
"Come on, you can do better then that." Fletcher said.
"Guess that was a bit too predictable." She said behind him. Fletcher looked behind him. She had a spell ready. Red chains fell on him, but then dissapeared. It was a new spell. He looked at her.
"Spells? Okay, I got one." He said and itched something in the air. Curious, she did nothing. The spell symbol was pretty big, meaning it was complex and powerful. Once he finished he put his palm to it. Nothing happened. Nothing at all. A light shown to the left of Raven.
"Not good enough." She said and cut through it. The ground underneath her fell into an abyss. She fell in. The black ball raised from the ground, her inside. Fletcher kept his fingers together maintaining the spell active. The ball was stritching, signs of struggle. Fletcher balled his hand into a fist, with the other hand, itching another spell. His left hand opening half way then closing, opening then closing, she was struggling to get out. Fletcher finished the spell. He touched his left hand with his right. Red light crossed from his hand to the ball. Red light crossed over to the ball, the ball went red, and instantly broke. Raven come out looking a bit burned.
"You can use black magic?"
"There's more from where that came from."
"You can use black magic?" Isa asked. The girls behind him, a couple of meters away.
"What's black magic?" Venus asked.
"Just as it sounds. It magic that always takes the form the color black. It sometimes means a type of curse is being used." Raven answered for her.
"So when can you tell it's a curse?"
"Curses are spells that can never be lifted. They will never die off. Once a spell is activated without a enchantment or a symbol, then you can tell it's a curse. Though they are extremely rare, but I wouldn't be surprised if Fletcher had one."
Venus remembered seeing black light once, Nova did too. When it was Fletchers 'birthday'. A flash of light smashed into the ground, no, not one, but 6. Fletcher covered his eyes from the bright light. Once the light dissapeared, he could see what landed, or who. It was the top ranks of Curga. A.K.A
"The terror 6"
"Looks like you need help." One said from the group. She had a eye patch on, plus her hand had a rocky look to it coded with red. They where huge.
"Nice timing." Raven said. "surly you can deal with him." She said. The girl looked at Fletcher.
"Eh, he looks weak."
"Don't let his face fool you, he is matched up with you in power."
"Really? Him?" Another said.
"You sure?" Another said.
"Maybe illusion magic?" Another said.
"Nah, looks too powerful for him." Another said.
"What a wast of time." Another said.
Fletcher had about enough of them making fun of him.
"You don't need to believe me, but it'll be the last thing you do." He didn't feel like bestowing mercy. He made a running pose, and dissapeared. Raven could just barely see him, but the rest didn't. Raven didn't interfere. He ran through the middle, and stopped behind them.
"What tha-" eye patch begain, but the trail that Fletcher left, exploded, covering all of them with fire. Fletcher sensed that they escaped. He sensed something thrown at him. Smoke parted when a huge fist came crashing in. Fletcher put his hand behind his other hand to black the blow. The hand that hit hers was shattered, Fletcher flew back a huge distance.
She's strong
Fletcher got up, his hand had some small black flams, healing his hand.
"That's some impressive regeneration. Looks sort of strange, don't you think?" Raven called. Fletcher gritted his teeth. He dashed at her, but got knocked back.
"We're your apponent." Eye patch said. Five other figures came rushing at him. Fletcher landed and got prepared to fight one on one. A foot approaching his face. Fletcher bent backwards, put his hands on the floor, and kick as he was standing up stright, he felt ribs. He jumped up and grabbed her hair, and slung her. He could tell that they where pretty close to Raven, but not quite. Maybe 10,000 off. Another was getting ready. This one hand claws protruding from her hands, he could tell they had blood on them. They where lethal. He dodged as she swung. Once she went from up slamming down, Fletcher grabbed her wrist and punched full force at her side, crushing some organs.
I need to use full force, it's just so much fun!
She screamed in pain. A sword came slashing down, Fletcher dodged. The sword jabbed to the ground. Fletcher kicked her hand, she let go of the sword. She puched, he blacked, she twirled and kicked his hand, but with her other feet. Fletcher simply came and jabbed his elbow on her knee, most likely braking it. Walls surrounded him. He looked around.
"Perfect space?" He said.
"That's right. Now you can't get away." Fletcher went up to a wall, and punched it. The space shook, but didn't so much as crack. He did it two more times. Nothing.
"I have lived longer then anybody has, I have learned some neat tricks that you can't even imagine." He said. He clapped his hands together.
"Perfect space!" Smaller walls appeared around him, and expanded. They grew until they touched the other walls, breaking them. Fletcher let go of the spell.
"You broke perfect space?" She asked. She seemed horrified.
"Let me teach you an important lesson, respect your elders." He said and ran to her. He went to punch her, the same thing. She put up a green barrier. Fletcher punched through it in one blow. Fletcher let down one more on her, smashing through some layers of her bones.
Two more? That's it? No more fun?
The last two seemed more curious then scared. Fletcher walked over to them. They stood still. They looked at each other and looked back at him. Nothing happened.
"I let both of you go for your courage." Fletcher said, and turned to look at Raven. Fletcher blocked a knee that would have hit his face.
"And here I was giving you a chance." He said and closed his eyes. He ran behind her and kicked down, bit she turned around and blacked, a crater formed beneath her.
"You saw my attack, that's impressive."
"And your pretty fast." She said. She let go of Fletchers foot. They where closer to Ravens power then the other four. A big sword stabbed at his thigh. He kneed down. He grabbed the sword and yanked it out, blood gushed out. He looked over to see the other one with other sword above her head. He turned around just in time. He put up his hands, as a fist came and punched him. He slid a bit.
"Good attack."
"Good block." She came with a kick, he blocked with both hands, she was pretty strong. He saw the other one jump up, forming a spell. It seemed big. He kept on dodging and blocking, but he couldn't attack. That poses a problem.
"Now!" The other yelled. Fletchers attacker jumped to the left, away from him.
Fletcher looked up, to see a titanic sword coming his way. The blade three times his hight. Fletcher put up a sheild. The sword shattered it as if it was paper. Fletchers eyes widened. The tip jabbed into his chest, as the blade went in, the tip grew larger. The sword jabbed to the ground. Fletcher couldn't move.
"You have grown, to bad. These are my elite warriors." Raven said. "Now, what I want to know, is how you grew so powerful." She asked. Fletcher couldn't get away. He was stuck. And now, he was completely vulnerable, and, the girls where too.
