I clenched my bag with my sweaty hands and stared at my feet, scared.

Jimin gently took one if my hands and took it in his, "it's okay" he whispered

"Is it too late to go back now?" I asked him "I can't do this Jimin"

"Of course you can, stop saying that kind of stuff"

"Let's just get it over with, okay, remember if you ever need me just press that button on your phone that I told you about and I'll come running to you."

"Can't you just come in with me?"

"No Jamie, this is your moment, I want you all to have your freedom, without a stranger lurking there"

"Ok it's now or ever" I took a deep breath

"Now or never" Jimin repeated "remember Jamie, I'm always here for you, saranghae (I love you)"

"Nado saranghae (I love you too)"

"Then go, Jamie, fighting!"

I gave him a weak smile and slowly walked along the familiar path, before I could give up and run back to Jimin's arms and cry, I forced myself to enter from the main door, leading straight into the living room, I heard laughter and happy chatting.

I'm spoiling their moment.

I hesitantly took a step forward, catching everyone's attention, but I kept my face down so they wouldn't see who I was.

Taking a deep breath, I lifted my face and my eyes immediately fell on my cousin, who had recognized me.

"J- Jamie?" She stuttered

My sister then stood up "Jamie?" She spoke "is it really you?"

I gave a small smile "anneonghaseyo (hello 'formally')

Silence.

"It's good to see you all in good health" I said as I looked at my mother who was staring at me in awe.

My sister and cousin ran over to me, "where have you been all these years?" Mygen asked me.

"Somewhere" I replied "it's better if you don't know"

"It's a pleasure seeing you all, I think I'll leave now" I said as I once again scanned the dumbstruck faces.

Aren't they gonna say anything?

"Don't leave" my sister begged "can't you just stay here?"

"I'm sorry unnie" I apologized "I have a new life now, my place is not here"
