❝doyoung can you give me those christmas balls over there?❞ kun ordered, pointing at the object he wanted for doyoung to get.

the said male followed without arguing back, so not like him. he usually talks back when someone asks him to do something. then again, this isn't the first time he is like this. these past few years, he's been like this. everytime they have their christmas getaway at chenle's beach house like the usual. others already having kids while others are still about to get married, like taeyong jaehyun. they sure are taking their time. and doyoung is here, being all sad just because he missed a specific someone.

❝is everything okay?❞ stupid lucas, why did he ask that to doyoung when the guy clearly doesn't look okay.

doyoung, being an honest bunny he is, shook his head as a no before picking up the boxes of christmas balls kun ordered for him to get. he then left lucas and went over to kun and handed him the boxes.

❝i don't want to ask you if you are fine because you clearly aren't so,❞ kun took the boxes of christmas and opened them before speaking again. ❝what seems to be the problem?❞

❝is taeil still not going to join us?❞ he said, in a silent and soft tone.

but despite of the loud background, lucas shouting with chenle and playing around with the kids together with taeyong, kun still heard doyoung loud and clear. ❝so it's about taeil huh?❞

he didn't want to say this but he did feel guilty. after the new years, yuta and sicheng came to him and told him how taeil feels. he did try to contact the older but only to found out he's out of town. he didn't know where he is, no one knows where he is. but taeil told them that he is fine and is not doing anything stupid which is already enough for them to calm down, although they are still worried but not much. they trust taeil and they know he won't let his emotions get the best of him.

noticing that doyoung didn't want to speak, kun patted his shoulder. ❝he'll come if he wants to come. for now, enjoy your time!❞ he said before joining the others in playing with the kids.

looking at the front door, he sure hopes it will open and the person he's been wanting to see would be present this christmas. all he wants for christmas was taeil to be here, with them, with him.

jungwoo took doyoung's hand and snapped him out from his thoughts. ❝don't just stand there, you need to enjoy!❞

showing a small smile, jungwoo and kun is right. christmas is christmas, he needs to forget about his problems for a while. as long as taeil is alright wherever he is then he shouldn't worry more. ❝slow down jungwoo, you are pregnant.❞

❝oh right.❞ jungwoo giggled, letting go of doyoung's hand and left him there with the kids whom he hopes can make him smile wide.

he then made his way to the kitchen after seeing that the kids could manage putting a smile on doyoung's face. reaching the kitchen, he saw lucas leaning by the sink, looking at no where. seeing how problematic his boyfriend is, jungwoo approached the younger and surprised him with a hug.
