I open the front door and quietly step inside the house.i make sure to keep the noise down since i was past curfew.

Right as I finish closing the door,and turn around,Leo is walking down stairs.

"Guess who's late?" He asks,approaching me. "You are." He grins and walks into the dining room.

"Please don't say anything ,Leo ." I plead,sitting across from him at the table .

"That's gonna cost you." He reply's , looking at me. I glare at him ,not interested at all .

"Cost me what exactly?" I ask,very annoyed .

"Not sure yet,but I'll think of something." He says before getting up from the table ,and dismissing himself.

It was now Friday . I sit in my room continuing to do algebra homework that was assigned last week,but being me I never finished it. All of a sudden I hear the front door close, followed by loud stomps .

"Mum?" I call out .

A few moments later a tall figure stands outside my door. The door handle slowly turns , and swings open .

"Yes sweetie?" Leo mocks me, pretending to be my mum.

"Ha ha very funny ." I shoot him a glare .
" I know ." He smiles , coming further into my room , and seating himself at my desk .

"So,Zoe. What happened between you and Cole ?" He asks , playing with a string hanging from his shirt .

"Um... nothing." I lie.

"Bullshit." He says bluntly.

"Fine, if you don't tell me I'll just ask Cole myself." He adds,smirking.

"No!" I yell much louder than I intended to.

Leo raises his hands in defence.

"Come here ." I say. Leo sits on my bed next to me and I take a deep breath.

*flashback*

Cole and I just finished eating at this restaurant, and were now on the road.

He hadn't talked much to me at all , and I was too nervous to start a conversation.

A few minutes go by and I notice he misses the turn to my house .

"Cole, you missed the turn?" I say as more of a question. He keeps his eyes on the road, not paying attention to me at all.

"Cole." I say again, this time I notice him clenching his jaw .

"Just shut the fuck up , Zoe." He yells ,and my eyes goes wide.why was he talking to me like this? What did I do wrong?

"What did I do ?" I ask ,in disbelief he was speaking to me like this.

The car stops in front of a house. This I assume was Coles place.

"Get out." He demands, while shutting off the car. My heart race accelerates , as I watch him walk around the car .

He harshly opens the car door,and looks down at me.

"Did I stutter ? Get out." He says , stepping to the side. My hands are shaking as I slowly get out of the car .

He shuts the door, and pins me against the car door. I blink rapidly watching his every move.

"What are you doing?" I look at him . He cuts me off by connecting his lips with mine. I put my hands on his chest , shoving him away from me.

" Don't fucking touch me!" I shout,walking away. He pulls me back by my forearm and grabs my face harshly .

"Don't ever talk to me like that." He says with gritted teeth , pushing me to the ground.

The tears brim my eyes , falling down my face as I try to find my way home .

*end of flashback*

When i was done explaining the story to Leo ,he sat there with anger traced in his face .

"Zoe,that's just wrong.why didn't you tell anyone sooner?" He asks, running his hands through his hair . Clearly frustrated.

"I don't know." I sigh , looking down. I feel his arm reach over my shoulder, allowing him to pull me closer.

"You know I wouldn't do that to you Zoe, I wouldn't do that to anyone." He looks over at me. I gently nod and smile.

He places his hand on the left side of my face. Pushing my hair behind my ear.

Leo breaks the tension and connects his lips with mine.

The first reaction that came to mind was to kiss back . Which is exactly what I did .

He pulls me onto his lap, and continues to kiss me.

"You're so beautiful, Zoe." He says, holding onto my waist .

"This is so wrong." I say between kisses.

"But it feels right." Leo fights back .

"It may feel right Leo , but it's not right." I say , getting up from the bed.

"In a matter of months , you will officially be my stepbrother. Your dad and my mum are together,and really love each other . We can't ruin that for them." I say, pacing back and forth .

He sighs .

"I guess you have a point . I'm sorry ."  He apologizes .

"It's okay . It's my fault too. "  I say.

He gets up from the bed. Before he can leave the room, I gently tug on his arm. He turns around .

I give him a tight hug. He smiles.

"See ya , Zoe." The door closes behind him.

I smile to myself and continue to do my homework.
