As I watch the various mages as they control their columns of fire the one nearest me explodes. The mage rockets back towards me and I brace their impact, keeping them upright and not slammed through the wall right behind me.
"So Malic, why am I here if you do not want me?" I ask, still holding up the student.
"I am teaching primarily water based students to wield fire, something typically foreign to them," Malic says. "Have anything to say about it?"
"I may be a walking monster manual, but I have only minor knowledge on mages in comparison. I prefer to approach each wizard, warlock, sorcerer and witch uniquely," I answer.
"I like you," he mutters, clearly brewing something in his mind. "Telex, please get off of her so I can test her."
The student stumbles out of my arms and after catching their breath starts once more at attempting to conjure and not explode their column. I follow Malic over to his desk and he hands me a perfectly spherical, pitch black ball. I blink at it for a second and am left confused
"What is this?" I ask skeptically.
"Are you sure you are human?" He asks confused.
"As close as I will ever be," I answer.
"Do you have any magic on you?" He asks.
"Yes," I answer, thinking of the stone around my neck.
"Take it off," he instructs.
Reluctantly I reach for the clasp and attempt to see if I can undo it myself. I blink for a second and then blurt out, "She melded it shut."
"What?" He asks confused.
"I cannot take this damned necklace off," I say surprised.
"Let me look at it," He says, walking around me. I lift my hair out of his way and feel a slight pressure as he feels at the clasp. "Where did you get this?"
"The Sorcerer made it and put it in me," I answer truthfully.
"The Sorcerer?" He questions. "You mean that crazy bat out in the woods?"
Rolling my eyes I respond, "Yes Mr I-am-a-superior-warlock-and-did-not-bother-to-check-myself."
"Watch your tone Human," he warns me.
"I know very well how possible it is to track spells to their originator," I respond. "Anyways can we get to these tests or is it not possible because turns out I have two magical items stuck on my being now."
"I suppose the others may be possible," he mutters annoyed.
The next thing he has to dig through his deck for. I look around and see the two guys that had been blown out side of the door making out against the opposite wall. I chuckle to myself and saunter over to the door frame. I lean against it and call our to them, "You seem to be using your time wisely."
Instantly the break apart and are each their own level of red from embarrassment. I wink at them and then say, "Get back to conjuring fire and I will magically forget about catching you at it."
I walk back to Malic and arrive beside his desk just as he finds whatever the last piece for what he needed. On his desk are three items. A completely clear cube with a sphere of a mix of red and orange inside of it, a small metal cube, and a cube that is a mix of purple and dark blue with little off white specks all over it. The third sort of reminds me of Codra's constellational magic.
"Okay, I'm going to have these float above you head and you will tell me to stop when you think the correct cube is above your head, naturally with your eyes closed," he instructs.
