"Ding-Dong!" Sophie's doorbell rang through the house.

"Sophie! Door!" my mother called from downstairs.

"Coming!" I yelled back pulling my hair up into a ponytail and put a light lip gloss over my chapped lips, despite the weather being warm. I bolted down the stairs quickly tying my shirt so it was cropped above my black mini skirt. I rushed to the door and opened it breathlessly. I gasped when I saw who was waiting there.

Instead of Keefe who was, now, running late. A dark haired boy stood at my doorstep.

"F-fitz!?" I asked highly confused. I looked behind him but Keefe was nowhere to be seen.

"You, look nice." he said blushing. That was weird. I glanced at our clock above the door. 10 minutes past the planned time.  'Keefe. Where are you!' I thought nervously leading Fitz into my living room.

"Um. So-uh- why are you here, exactly?" I asked, tilting my head to one side. "Because I really gotta go somewhere..."

"Oh! Sorry!" He said looking me up and down. "I'll just go then." he said getting up. His voice sounded more guarded, angry even. As we had arrived at the door, the bell rang again. I cautiously opened the door. Praying that it wasn't Keefe. But of course, it had to be Keefe! He cleared his throat awkwardly and stared at his feet. Fitz, looked really angry. His face was turning redder by the minute.

"Uh. Sorry Fitz. Um.... We'll talk later?" I asked before Keefe pulled me outside into his car.

"So..." he began awkwardly, "Fitz and you.....?"

"Oh!" I exclaimed surprised that he would even think of that. "No. Sorry. He just randomly came over and walked in. I thought it was you but you were running late!" I accuse gently.

"Ya. Sorry 'bout that. I was buying some, uh... cookies for our picnic." he explained glancing at me. I smiled and settled in. We arrived at a nice park and spread out the red checkered blanket. I gasped when I saw what was in the woven basket. A lovely amount of food was packed tightly away. I saw sandwiches, mallow melt, veggies, fruit, muffins, dip and tortilla. There was everything! Well, everything except...cookies! I realized.

"Keefe!" I gasped, "Thank you! This is going to be awesome!" I exclaimed getting giddy and digging in to really tasty food. 'I'll ask him later' I decided moaning at the flavourful taste of the mallow melt. After we had finished we laid on our backs and looked for oddly shaped clouds. I turned my head to face Keefe. "Why were you late?" I questioned curiously. He cleared his throat.

"Honestly, I don't know. I guess, I was, well, nervous?" he finished hesitantly facing me with a straight face. I smiled and nodded. An hour later we packed up and Keefe drove me home.

"Thank you again Keefe. That was really fun. And, um- will we be telling the others soon because I was talking with Biana the other day and she was... suspicious?" I finsh glancing up shyly. He laughed. His lovely beautiful laugh.

"I guess we'll have to." he sighed, "And Sophie, I should probably tell you that Fitz, he well, he was going to ask you out but then I did and I think he knows now and he will be a little angry at me and maybe you." I laughed and shoved him.

"We'll tell them this week sometime, kay?" I said
