"That is a common misconception when people see my eyes-" "Do you think he's blind?"Roman interrupted his very very pretty friend. "I asked first."I murmured staring into Bristol's milky white blue eyes. "If you guess right,we'll let you call your family."Roman pulled a phone out of thin air. "Only if I guess correctly?"My attention was pulled away from Bristol's mesmerizing gaze. "You don't get rewards for losing." "What are the rules?" "No rules, only a time limit." "What's the limit?" "Midnight?" "Ready when you are."I yawned my eyes going back to Bristol's flat gaze. "Your time starts now." "Bristol, darling, sweetums are you blind?"I blinked in exaggerated sweeps.
Bristol's rose coloured lips twitched into a smile before he walked across the living, disappearing into the doorway Leilani had gone to get me socks. "How am I supposed to figure out if your blind if I can't see you?"I called after him. "That doesn't tell you anything?"Roman studied me with his startling mint green eyes. "What?" "Bristol walked across the living without any assistance-" "It's his house so it would make sense that he could get around by himself if he were blind." Roman's eyes seemed to sparkle at my observation "Makes sense, where's Jersey?" "Sleeping upstairs." Roman walked up to me and grabbed one of my unruly curls "Feel free to look around-" "But don't go into the last room on the left because it holds a secret this pack isn't ready to hear."I interrupted staring into his handsome face,Bristol was on the prettier side while Roman and Jersey were more masculine but they were all attractive.
"There is no such secret and don't bother Bristol."Roman gently tugged my curl before he nudged me aside so he could pass me. "What am I supposed to do?" "Find clues about Bristol's eyesight?" Roman suggested already at the top of the stairs. "How? Is there a sign around here that cleary states wether he's blind or not?"I grumbled not getting a respone. "What a quality conversation, you never disappoint in that area Roman."I called behind him though he was long out of sight.
I actually sat on the stairs for another hour before I found myself in the kitchen eating a sandwich, rewarming my second bowl of the beef stew Leilani had made and rummaging through the drawers,so far my search had yielded zilch results. The microwave beeped signaling my food was ready and I abandoned the drawer I was scrimmaging through to walk over to the drawer I discovered they kept their silverware in.It when I reached for my spoon that I realised that this drawer actually offered a clue.Instead of the chaotic dangerous mess in my parent's silverware drawer this one had built in barriers to seperate all the utensils. A blind person would need something like this right? Pondering this new development I grabbed my food after popping open the microwave. The logic is sound but look at this house Alexandra. Would it make more sense for their drawer to look like that or like our parent's? Weirdly enough the voice speaking in my head wasn't my own but my brother's. "I don't know Russel. They're three MALE Alphas I doubt that they would take the time to organize a silverwear cabinet unless is were detrimental."I clicked my tongue. What if they bought the house and the cabinet was pre built like that. "Mmm good point."I nodded setting my food down on the large Oakwood table located in the modest room attached to the kitchen. "But then again the drawer was so organized that someone obviously took the time to make sure everything was in it's assigned place." I pulled the bowl closer to myself. It could've been Leilani, think about it she already said that takes care of them. "True."I nodded finishing off my sandwich and beginning on my stew. "This could use some bread."I murmured eating a hunk of chorizo sausage, standing back up I hurridly shoved another mouthful of stew inside my mouth and walked back to the kitchen and taking the entire loaf of bread back to table with me.
Sitting back down I inched the seat back up to table accidentally bumping it with my chest causing my stew,my pipping hot, newly heated stew to fall off the edge of the table and onto my lap. The noise that eeked out of throat was one that I had never made before. Instead of a scream it was more of a high pitched whistle from the back of my throat.Hurridly pushing away from the table I stood in a panicky pained rush. Without thinking about it my hands went to waistband of the pants I was wearing popping the button open before I realised that I couldn't take them off. "Owie wally walla." Roman's warning about not bothering Bristol flashed in my mind but this constituted as an emergency and everyone knew that you could break any and every rule in an emergency.
