"Romeo."A musical voice greeted when the truck slowed to almost a complete stop and creept foreward at a snail's pace. "Does Adonis know you're running patrol?"Was the immediate response. "Adonis can kiss my ass."The musical voice snorted. "Leilani."Jersey snapped only to receive a playful growl followed by a joyful laugh. "Well my route isn't gonna run itself."
The women Jersey refered to as Leilani then stopped pacing herself and kicked up her speed her feet seeming to skim over the icy plain without actually touching the ground. "I got her." Roman growled swinging his car door open and jumping out of the car his feet already moving. If I thought Leilani's speed was impressive Roman blew her out the water running her down in seconds.
"Dude fuck off."Leilani squealed when Roman grabbed her arm and slung her over his shoulder in one smooth motion.When captive and captor made it back to the car Roman yanked open the back passenger door before tossing his squirming bundle into the seat parallel to me. "Roman let me out."Leilani snarled trying to open the door to no avail. "Child locks are a thing of beauty,no?"Jersey grinned at Leilani.
"Korina had an emergency last minute so I volunteered to take over so Carlos wouldn't overwork himself trying to be two fucking people."Leilani kicked the back of Roman's seat with a viscousness that even I didn't have the courage to deliver. "What kind of emergency." "A medical one other than that I've been sworn to secrecy." "Is Bristol at home or the office." "I could really-damn it let me out."Leilani pouted when Jersey hit the window lock button preventing her from escaping.
"I'll cover for Korina,just get her home."Roman said to which Jersey nodded. "I will not be ignored you dickwad."Leilani called trying to crawl over the center console and into the front seat only to be shoved back none to gently. "Monkey A meet monkey B."Jersey grumbled shifting the car into drive and peeling off.
Leilani gave him a one fingered salute before turning her steely gaze onto me. "Who are you?" "Monkey A."I gave a shy grin. "Don't be ridiculous."Leilani scoffed studying me through grey eyes that had blue shards circling the pupil. "I'm always monkey A."Leilani suddenly grinned her blinding white teeth standing out starkly against her natural brown skin.
"Do they kidnap girls often?"I asked grinning due to infectious nature of her smile. "Only once or twice a year." Leilani assured winking at me. "I must be special."I rolled my eyes. "I would say so."Leilani's eyes meaningly dropped down to my neck. "Ow don't do that, i'm starting to like you....freaky eyes and all."I crinkled my nose in disdain. "Freaky eyes."Leilani repeated in whispered shock. "My eyes are damn gorgeous and they go perfectly with this snowy not so fairy fucking wonderland I live in."
Shrugging off the indignant glare Leilani shot me I scooted closer to Leilani oddly mesmerized with her. "How are you so close to them?"I asked already knowing Jersey and Roman weren't the type to allow disrespect yet Leilani had disregarded them,cursed them, called Roman a nickname,and hadn't referred to either of them as Alpha. Leilani shifted her body ever so slightly so she was angled in my direction.
"They're my lovers."
My heart dropped at the statement and my wolf growled in pained denial but my conscience human mind felt nothing at the statement. "Is it fun?"I asked in earnest. "An unforgettable experience."Leilani grinned leaning foreward to lightly stroke the side of Jersey's neck, the gesture an intimate one for anyone but especially an alpha.
Jersey didn't encourage the caress but he didn't discourage it meaning Leilani was someone the Alpha trusted not to try anything funny even when she was so close the one of the most vulnerable areas on his body.Leilani gave me a curious glance after she pulled away from Jersey.
