Smokey laughed "Yo, you gotta tell me that story about her moving in again."

"Okay one last time." Christian said shaking his head "It was September 3rd.."

Footsteps by Kehlani played very loudly in Honey's ear as she walked home from school, well making it seem like she was coming from school. She had left during the day to go smoke and chill with Christian which she was starting to do quite often and got in trouble for it.

But she didn't care.

She was tired of getting up every morning to be met with the same bullshit everyday. And it didn't help that her parents were breathing down her neck every time that they got a notification about her grades whether it was good or bad.

Turning down her block, she noticed a bunch of black trash bags sitting in her driveway.

What the hell Aiden do now? she thought.

Taking out her headphones, she used her key to unlock the door going in the house sitting her book bag down. She went into the kitchen seeing her mom and dad sitting at the table.

"How was school Honey?" her mom, Linda asked.

"It was straight." she said shrugging her shoulders grabbing a bottle of water about to walk out the kitchen before her father, Joel, called her back.

"Aaliyah, lets have a talk real quick." he said and she sighed. She hated having talks with him, with a passion.

Upon sitting, down her father handed her a folder.

"What's this?" she raised an eyebrow.

"A surprise." he said urging her to open the folder.

Once she opened the folder, she saw printed messages that her and Christian exchanged every time they planned on leaving the school.

Looking up at her father, she seen that his smile was no longer there and he had a straight face. "Before you say anything, just know you have to go."

"Um, go where?" she asked confused.

"Somewhere." he shrugged "You can't apply to the rules that I have set, you think you're grown, you gotta go, your stuff outside."

Honey laughed looking at both of them, taking them as a joke.

"Y'all so funny yo." she waved them off.

"You think this shit is funny?! You around here hanging with this no good drug dealer and skipping school! You don't want to listen to me, you gotta go simple." her father said standing up.

Looking at her mom, Linda looked away and put her head down making Honey shake her head.

"That's some weak ass shit. You lame as fuck. On Grandma Patty." she said grabbing her bag.
