I feel like I'm in a daze; a dream most likely.I'm walking in an all too familiar scenery yet it feels completely different.
My feet would normally be covered in my running shoes but I look down and I'm barefoot. My legs covered in a dark liquid what I assume to be splattered mud. I finally feel the rain on my skin. So cold yet I feel the need for the cold droplets to run down my skin in urgency; my body felt as if it was burning from the inside-out. I hadn't noticed my heart practically beating out of my chest. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. Had I been running?
What's happening to me?
Where exactly am I?
I look at my surroundings and I'm right.
I'm in the woods, the ones behind the back of my childhood home to be more exact.
I don't want to be here, I shouldn't be here.
Pleading screams and echoing gunshots come out of nowhere.
My vision turns black and I'm left numb.
