Hello again hoomans, aliens, or anyone reading this.

Breathe. Focus. It'll work, promise. Thoughts swirled through my anxious subconscious as I faced the brick wall that apparently was the 9 ¾ platform for Hogwarts. Father had dropped me off at King's Cross on his way to work, so I was all alone.

"Um, are you going to go, or do you want us to go first?" A voice popped up from behind me. I turned shakily to see two boys standing side by side with overflowing trolleys of luggage with Hogsmeade stickers on the cases. Two parents stood behind them, looking more like the brown-eyed brunet than the blue-eyed black haired one that had just spoken.

"Oh, sorry," I apologized quickly. My father just dropped me off and I'm quite nervous." The black haired one smiled brightly in agreement, while the brunet thought for a moment, then scowled.

"It's fine!" He assured me. "I'm pretty nervous too, I couldn't stop rambling about it all the way here! Isn't that right, Dan?" He turned to the brunet, whose name was apparently Dan, for confirmation. Dan just nodded and peered over to the wall.

"So, are we going to get to the Hogwarts Express before it leaves or what?" Dan growled impatiently. I nodded quickly and turned to the seemingly solid wall.

"Here goes nothing," I mumbled incoherently as I raced towards the wall. The moment I closed my eyes and expected impact, I felt a slight twist in my stomach. I opened my eyes, and there was an enormous burgundy train in front of me, with the words Hogwarts Express painted elegantly along the sides. I moved quickly out of the way, so Dan and the nice black haired boy could go through without bumping into me. I peered through all of the windows to see if Coani was on board yet. It seemed not, but we decided that whoever got there first would wait in the nearest empty cabin to the back.

"Hey!" The happy boy yelled from behind me. I really must learn his name, I thought to myself. I spun on my heels to face the two. "Do you want to sit with me and Dan?"

"I would love to," I replied. "My friend Coani will be here soon, can she sit with us too?" Blue-eyes nodded enthusiastically, but Dan just sighed in defeat. He must not like me, but well he'll just have to deal with it.

"Yeah! Oh, and my name's Phil by the way. What's yours?" Ah, so Phil was his name. It was nice, like Dan's.

I giggled in spite of myself. "Wow, how rude of me. My name's y/n, but everyone calls me n/n!" Dan raised an eyebrow in surprise, like most do when hearing my nickname for the first time. He smirked and pointed a finger behind me.

"I'm guessing by 'friend Coani' you meant Coani Sachi, of the pure blood Sachis? Yeah, she's heading this way." I gasped in excitement and spun around on my heel, subconsciously scolding myself for doing it once more, as I knew it wore out the heels on my combat boots. Dan wasn't lying, as Coani was sprinting at full speed towards me as her parents hurried behind her, apologizing to everyone Coani had trampled in her wake.

"Sachis!" I yelled in excitement. Sicily and Mr. Sachi waved, and Coani just kept running. When she reached me, as pulled her cart to a stop. Merceus, her tawny owl, seemed disgruntled by the wavering maneuvers Coani had used to reach me.

"N/n!" Coani screeched, making Dan plug his ears in a tone it down, ya crazy gesture. She finally noticed the boys and waved enthusiastically in greeting. "Hi, Phil! Hey, Dan." What? She knew who they were?

"Wait," I said with confusion, "how the hell do you know them, Coani?" She laughed and pointed back at her parents.

"Dan and Phil are pure bloods, like me, n/n," she explained. Oh, that's how they know each other. There parents must have gone to school together and were friends. This is a good sign, right? "Dan's parents were Slytherins like my dad, and Phil's dad was a Ravenclaw like Sicily." Dan's parents were pure blood Slytherins? That didn't bode well for me or our friendship. Once he realized I was a half blood, it would be all over. Unfortunately, he seemed to get the gist of what Coani was saying. He scowled at me, which was pretty normal for him, but this one was directed at my parentage.
