Chapter 3

Was this real? Am I really moving out of this town? I don't know if I'm ready or not. Although there isn't much memories spent here, I kinda felt connected to the nature here.

Beep! Beep! The sound of the car horn startled the crap out of me. Keeping myself from pointing the finger, I pulled my neon yellow luggage to the trunk tossed it in. I might as well go to that dreadful place since I have no where else to go except well, I don't know the toilet.

After 8 daunting hours from the house to the airport, into the plane, we finally reached Melbourne, my new brand new life. I knew my parents were watching me from above, so I might as well reborn and start a brand new life, attitude and a new family.

Aunt Jade had a new job and lived in Melbourne along with her son, Evan. They moved to a new house a few days ago so all of us will see fresh faces, I guess.

The new house was medium sized, fawn coloured and double-storied. At least it was up to my standards. "We're here, now don't make so much sound, it's 2 in the morning, we don't want to wake up the neighbours." Aunt Jade whispered. She resembled so much like my mum.

I stepped out of the car whilst hugging my suitcase. After she unlocked the door, I dashed up to the second floor to find my bedroom at the end. A cosmic latte coloured door with a goldenrod doorknob.

I twisted the doorknob and ferret out the light switch. I dropped my suitcase and stared into the large bedroom in awe. I believed that my mouth was so wide it could stuff a whole cake in there.

Crap, how the hell did Aunt Jade get so much money to make such a massive room. Lavender blush walls, maroon carpet, a walk in closet, my own toilet. Wait, I don't have to share a toilet. I don't have to share a toilet! Oh my gosh.

It was obvious that I looked like a mess but I didn't want to look at myself in the mirror. I mean, who in the right mind would look at themselves at 2 in the morning?! Who knows, there could be Bloody Mary somewhere. I shut the door, turn the night light on and slept in the same clothes. I'm afraid of going into the bathroom.

Next Morning

I fluttered open my eyes and quickly got up. I squinted as I turned dizzy. I grabbed a towel and dragged myself to the bathroom. The cool shower felt nice against my groggy body. I crawled out and I grabbed my navy chinos and band shirt from my suitcase and changed in the bathroom and tossed my towel onto the bed. I felt two pair of eyes pass the tree, following me. I turned to see two of my neighbours bedroom was opposite mine.

They both had a beanie on and turned away as soon as I looked their way. I half-smirked and skipped to the living room. "Good morning, fellow housemates." I sang.

"It's 12.47pm, how is it a morning?" Evan said with a mouth filled with oreos.

"It is? I guess I had a nice long rest! Well, I'm going to explore the town, call me if you need anything," I acknowledged, pointing to his Blackberry.

Wait, let's check what's in my wallet. Holy crap, money. I actually have money in my wallet. I can buy loads of crap I don't have back home. I need a guitar. Like now. But where. I turned around to see a boy wearing a 'YOLO' snapback sitting on his lawn.

"Urm.. Do you know where the music store is?" I half yelled.

He walked towards me with his hands in his pockets. "I'll walk you there, c'mon."

"So, what's your name?" I beamed hoping that he'd talk more. "Beau, do you know me?" He asked with a small smile. I shook my head. How would I know him, I just moved here yesterday?

"So, you're the new neighbour?"

"Yup,"

"Oh, you'll love it here, there's lots of urm.. nice people here, I guess." He almost looked like he was gonna gag when he said nice. We talked about our lives until we reached the music store. Apparently, his brothers, friends and him makes videos, uploads them on YouTube and names themselves The Janoskians. What I didn't tell him was about my bad reputation there and about my parents. Like I said, I'm changing to a new person and can't let people know how I was.

I went around hunting for the perfect guitar and there it was, just hanging there like an angel. I asked one of the staff to bring in down so I could try it. I brushed my fingers down the strings. "I'll take this one." I said upbeatly.
