Chapter 19

-Gemma's scan.

Sorry this took a while had a lot on my mind lately and hadn't had the chance to update.

A few months had past since Grace ha has her scan. She was growing and it was very visible. Perri tried his hardest to be the best dad he could by buying a cot for the baby, little dresses and shoes and a pushchair for when she was born.

While this was happening Sam and Danni had fallen out. It was the 28th august and it was the day of Gemma's scan. Sam had been going on about it the night before and had caused a huge argument that Danni go back to Ireland. She would stay there until grace had her baby then come back to help around a little. Danni left a few hours before Gemma was going to have her scan. Sam didn't really know what to do with himself. Now that Danni had left him all that he could do was be the best "father" for the child which Gemma was carrying.

Gemma's scan was in the morning at 10 :37am at the Hospital. The doctor had booked her in early as the baby was growing very quickly and apparently that wasn't normal. She took Grace and Mitch with her, however she wanted to have Danni to go with her too as they were very close friends.

"Danni? Where are you I need you for my scan." Asked Gemma talking down the phone.

"I'm so sorry Gemma. I won't e there for most of your pregnancy." Sighed Danni

"Why?.."

"I'm.. Well.. I am back in Ireland."

"WHAT! No Danni you can't. Are you taking the piss I seriously need you right now."

"I'm sorry. I will be here for when the little one arrives though don't you worry. Why don't you ask Katy to come along with you?"

Mitch's head turned suddenly. He heard the name correctly and his heart began to beat extremely fast.

{"Who is coming instead I need to know Gemma babe if you want me to pick them up?"

"Shush mitch she will come later on dot worry."}

"Ok Danni I will do I will miss you though."

"And I will miss you to. Love you byeee! mwahhhh"

The 3 made there way to the hospital and booked themselves into the waiting room. Gemma had to be in a special maternity ward as she was having complications with her baby. She was waiting with anticipation to know the sex of the baby and who the real father was.

Finally after 25 minutes Gemma was allowed in. A nurse came out with long brown hair but she looked familiar to Grace.

"Wait are you nurse Megan?"

"Yes I am. You are grace aren't you?"

"Yes she is but I am the one who is having the scan." Groaned Gemma getting up slowly from her chair.

"Ok so are you coming in then grace or is the father?"

The three looked over at mitch who was on his phone (on twitter creeping). He looked up and shook his head instantly.

"Fair enough. This way ladies."

Gemma walked into a very large room. There was a small birthing pool. A rope and a gym ball in the corner and them on the other side of the room was the bed and monitors. Gemma got onto the bed and made herself comfortable while Grace had a talk with the nurse.

"Hi erm I just thought I would ask if you knew who the father of the child was? It's just that she doesn't really know and it's freaking her out. If you tell me and not her I will keep her calm till the day is that okay?" Asked grace

"Yes of corse that will be fine." Smiled nurse Megan.

The two both turned to Gemma and went over to the bed.

"Okay. So your baby has seemed to have grown, 2 times as big as they should have. This is a little bit worrying as you are now 5 months in but it could be anything which can be causing the baby to grow so we are just going to check that okay?" Smiled nurse Megan taking a look to see the sex of the baby.

"What am I having them?" Asked Gemma laying head back on the bed.

"Well it shows here that you are having a baby boy. This may be one of the reasons why your child is growing as it shows up way more when you are pregnant with a boy..."

As the nurse went on mitch was still out in the waiting room where someone caught his eye.

"Hello I am katy I have come to see Gemma? She is the only person in this department?" Said katy to the receptionist.

Mitch looked over to see that he was right about what he thought. Gemma had actually bought katy to come along. Mitch quickly went over to katy to say hello.

"Hello mitch babe how are you?" Grinned katy full on kissing mitch.

"What are you doing here!?" Asked mitch feeling quite fidgety.

"Here to see Gemma's and Sam's baby scan?" Said katy looking a little confused.

*mitch and katy were in a long lasting relationship a year before Gemma came to danceworks and met the boys. Katy had to go to college so mitch never saw katy until no*

"Okay well first of all it's not Sam's baby, just sit here with me okay?" Said mitch taking her hand and leading her to the waiting room.

"And that's all for now Gemma. Your baby boy will be okay, we will be doing little check ups though on the baby just to make sure for you both." Said nurse Megan.

"Okay thankyou." Replied Gemma slowly getting off the bed and heading for the door."Grace are you not coming with me?"

"Yes I am just having a talk to the nurse about my baby."

Gemma smiled and closed the door behind her leaving Grace and the nurse alone. The nurse handed her a brown envelope with Gemma's name printed neatly in the middle. Grace opened it slowly and scanned the letter to find the information she was looking for.

Her eyes grew wider and her mouth dropped.
