Chapter 18

-The Scan.

The time was 16:48. Perri and Grace was in a small room with a monitor waiting for the nurse to come. They were about to find out the sex of there baby. The others were all waiting just outside in the waiting room, almost as anxious as they were.

Perri was walking from one side on the room to the other making his afro bounce about. He kept looking at the clock waiting for the nurse and he was more nervous then Grace was herself.

"She's late.." Said Perri looking at his watch.

Grace looked at her phone.

"By 3 minutes babe.." Smiled grace.

"She is still late." Huffed Pel

Grace took hold of his hand and he sat back down next to her.

"So have you been thinking?" Asked Grace being vague.

"About??" Answered Pel looking confused.

"BABY NAMES PERRI! How have you not been thinking?!"

"Well I was thinking call him perri junior for a boy and perrica if it's a girl." Smiled perri trying to be serious.

Grace gave him a funny look.

"Fuck off." Laughed Grace making Pel laugh too.

"Well have you thought of names. And even if you have they won't be as good as mine." Said Pel being sassy.

"Well actually I have. Max for a boy."

"Hmm max, I like that."

"And for a girl, lily Mae or misti."

"Mm.. Misti lily Mae. Lily Mae misti." Repeated perri deciding which name.

"I like the name-"

Just as Pel was about to say the nurse burst through the door looking quite shaky and flustered. She saw Pel and screamed a little to herself. She turned around to take a breath before turning back round.

The nurse was in her 20s around 24. She had blonde hair which was tied up in a pony tale. Her hair was very long, however it looked as though she had hair extensions in. Her makeup was perfectly done and her uniform was perfectly worn.

Perri looked at Grace looking quite confused but Grace just smiled as she knew that the nurse was in major fangirl mode and that's why she was acting that way.

"Is perri your fave?" Laughed grace.

The nurse turned round and smiled. She realised that Grace knew why she was acting that way and called down.

"No. Jordan is actually." Smiled the nurse.

"Have you not seen him?" Asked Pel looking confused." He is outside with the others?"

"Omgggggg! PERRI!" Gasped the nurse. "Sorry. I promise I will be professional now. Really? Is he?"smiled the nurse.

"Yeh he is. How about this. You get this scan done as quick as possible and u can have a photo with all of us?" Asked Pel.

"DEAL!"

Grace smiled and relaxed herself.

"Ok well I am nurse Megan. And you are Grace I see."

"Yes, that's me." Replied Grace smiling

"Ok so what I'm going to do is put some gel on your stomach. This may be a little cold but I'm sure you won't mind."

Perri took hold of graces hand and held it tightly, looking at the monitor.

"I can see you two are a very close couple. It's beautiful seeing relationships like you two. How long have you been together?"

"It seems like forever. Well for me as I was just a major fangirl haha." Said grace.

"Really? I was your fave?" Asked Pel.

"Yes! Other wise I wouldn't be having your child would I Pel?" Laughed Grace.

Pel smiled and kissed Grace on the cheek.

There was complete silence as nurse Megan searched for the baby. Suddenly there was a loud thudding noise which filled the room.

"Well the baby has an extremely healthy heart beat so there is no worry there. It's a great size too." Said the nurse confidently. "Now let's just see if it's a girl or a boy!" She grinned.

"What do you want it to be Pel? Boy or girl?" Turned grace looking towards Perri.

"I don't mind? As long as if it's a girl her middle name is perrica?" Smiled perri.

"Deal." Laughed grace

"Well you better keep a note of that. As it's a beautiful healthy girl you are having." Smiled the nurse.

"Lily Mae. Lily Mae is what I want her to be called." Whispered perri in Graces ear.

"I hope you picked that name for her." Replied Grace, kissing Pel.

Tears fell from nurse Megan's eyes.

"Ok so now that's done can I meet the boys??" She asked wiping the tears from her eyes.

"Yeh come on."

The nurse came running out in front of Grace and Perri. Everyone was stood up waiting for the news.

"You all will be delighted to hear that Grace is having a.... Girl!" Said nurse Megan grinning.

Everyone ran over to hug Grace and Pel and to congratulate them both.

"And also because nurse Megan here was so helpful I thought we could all have a photo with her as she is a big fan of diveristy." Blurted Pel

"Well I want a picture with her first." Smiled Jordan.

Everyone had a picture and was happy and laughing how ever Sam was a little reserved.

"What's up babe?" Asked Danni.

"I just keep thinking about Gemma and her baby and how it could be mine you know? It's scary." Replied Sam.

"Sam.. If Gemma was sure about you not being the father, that's one thing to rest about. Just enjoy this moment for Pel?" Said Danni.

Sam sighed and went back to the others. But Sam wasn't going to give up on thinking he was the father of Gemma's child..
