The Saiyan grabbed a hold of the princess, lifting her up and carrying her bridal style as he floated through the vortex, which spat both her and him out onto what seemed to be vacant land.

The vortex gradually slowed down and completely came to a halt, still sparkling as it did before, only this time it narrowed out into a thin line, closing itself up like a zipper. This basically disconnected this area from the previous one in France.

Both Goku and Belle hit the ground with a hard thud. Thankfully they had landed on a flat surface, which wasn't rock hard and looked quite a bit like sand.

And it turned out to be fucking sand.

But where were the people? Anything at all? Or was this land simply barren?

There wasn't a single sign of life in sight, which Goku quickly realized as he recovered from his fall.

Unfortunately, Belle didn't look responsive to her surroundings, unlike the warrior who lay beside her.

Goku decided to examine her motionless body, running his fingers through her rich brown hair, trying to locate any injuries she may have gotten from the impact.

She did fall from the sky out of a vortex, after all.

He noticed a large bruise on the back of her left shoulder blade, an open but rather small wound on her upper arm, three long scratches on her cheek, and another bruise on her upper back. Other than a few other minor injuries, she didn't seem to have anything serious.

He shook the girl gently, in hopes of getting her to respond.

"Belle, are you alright? You're lucky you're not hurt too badly. I thought you'd look much worse than you do..."

He called her name again. "Belle?"

Still no answer. Turns out she wasn't aware of anything around her.

Shit. She's unconscious. I really hope she'll be okay...

The male tried to help her regain consciousness, but after several failed attempts he decided to wait off for a bit.

I swear I must be lost. I don't recognize a god damn thing in this place. I'll bet ChiChi, Goten, and Gohan are worried sick over my sudden disappearance. But I feel somewhat accomplished today. I just saved this woman and her husband from a murderous lunatic. Hell, if I was her I would've smashed his face into cement flooring. She doesn't seem like the fighting type, but I knew that she could be useful to us. It was her eagerness to join forces with me so quickly. I like that about her. I really should teach her, but she's just a normal human princess. I could try to show her the ways of a true warrior, just like I was trained to do. I doubt myself training her would be even half as effective if it were Master Roshi doing it instead. He taught me, Krillin, everybody for god's sake. He showed me everything I know, he practically invented the techniques. He'd be a far better trainer than me. I just have no clue where the fuck he is. After the attack on our base, everyone seems like they've just disappeared. We're all separated, and the only two on our team that I've managed to track down are Piccolo and useless ass Yamcha. Eh, Roshi will show up sooner or later. He's probably ogling at some girls as usual.

Goku called out to the empty horizon, hoping to find someone else other than him and the princess if they happened to be anywhere in the vicinity.

"Hello? Is there anyone here? I'm a little lost here!!"

No answer.

He spoke again. "Hello? Anyone?"

It must've seemed hopeless at this point. There seriously had to be someone here other than the Saiyan and the girl.
