SOONYOUNG cursed underneath his breath. Bringing his hand to his forehead and rubbing his temple. "Of course I left it at the building." his mood was immediately ruined.
By this time, Jihoon approached soonyoung. "Is anything wrong?" he asked.
"Yeah. We've got quite the pickle actually." he chuckled awkwardly with a smIie. "I seem to have forgotten my keys at the office since I was so excited about the dinner."
Jihoon sighed, he scrunched up his face as he pulled out his phone.
"What are you doing?" Soonyoung asked.
"I'm just going to text my manager that you forgot your keys at the office so that he can drop you off." the younger one continued to tap away on his phone while Soonyoung cooed and showered him with gratitude.
"Really? For me?" Soonyoung joked. "Awe shucks, you're making me blush." he tried to hug Jihoon but the smaller still used his foot to kick Soonyoung. The older groaned in pain as he was pried off and held his leg, "You didn't need to be that hard."
Jihoon sighed. "Shut up." he said as he started walking away from him, however the dark was the only thing covering his heated cheeks and ears. "This is why I walked you home. You could've been stranded outside of your house. Oh what a great news report that would be." Jihoon blabbered. "Stupid Soonyoung." He murmured.
A grinning Soonyoung followed behind, however he still felt like he was being a huge bother to the latter. He caught up with Jihoon, daring not to utter another word as he walked beside him.
Soon the black minivan that Soonyoung was all too familiar with arrived infront of them and the manager who greeted them with a toothy grin as the both of them entered. Jihoon and his manager were very close ever since his early trainee days. Even from looking at the two of them, they resembled such a close (but polar) father-son relationship.
"So Soonyoung, forgot your keys?" His manager sparked up a conversation.
"Um, yes." he replied back. Cursing himself for making the conversation more awkward. "I guess I was too excited for the dinner." he shrugged, making an effort to drag the conversation.
The manager chuckled lowly, "You're house is quite far from the office too huh?"
This had just become such an anticlimactic interview which Soonyoung was too tired to give any more longer answers. He answered a yes as the manager continued to interrogate him.
And as soon as they knew it, the manager proposed an idea, saying that Soonyoung should just stay the night at Jihoon's place and get the keys the day after.
At first Soonyoung just coughed on air (as well as Jihoon who had quickly froze from playing a game)— he was shocked at the sudden proposal. He denied, waving his hands and saying "That's too much sir. Even just bringing me to the office was already a big of a hassle. I could just grab my keys and travel home by myself."
The manager interjects with a disapproving tone. "It's just for the night Soonyoung. You're house is quite far and it's very late." he spoke before looking at Jihoon through the rear mirror. "Would that be alright for you Jihoon?"
Jihoon stares back at his manager then at Soonyoung's panicked face that just read 'is he serious? '. Jihoon bit his tongue, but by the smile that his manager placed on, it seemed too bright that it almost felt like if he said no his manager would kill him. He couldn't back away now.
Jihoon slumped in his seat and mumbled a small sure. Not that he's complaining. Soonyoung who's face was written with question marks all over and stared at Jihoon in disbelief then just sighing in defeat from the duo.
