Ennard glared down at a broken fox as it struggled to keep life inside it. He felt no pity for the fox, who was a murderer. Ennard didn't feel very surprised at the fox's actions, for he had learned to trust no soul, besides Funtime Freddy over the past few months. Blood continued to ooze out of the fox as it whimpered and groaned. Ennard set his foot, which was made up of wires and spare parts, on top of Mangle.
"I don't suppose you know why you're bleeding blood, and not oil, do you?" Ennard asked, locking his gaze with Mangle's.
"Me have a b-body in me. Much like yer other friends." Mangle grunted with pain.
"Other friends? I take it you're talking about Freddy Fazbear and his gang. While, unlike them, I do not have a human child inside me. Shocker, isn't it?" Ennard rolled his dark blue eye.
Ennard turned his head, so he didn't have to watch the torn fox's last moments.
"Ennard," Helpy cried. "Dad's dying..."
The young pink and white bear was crouched down on his knees, in front of his father. It was a sad sight to behold. Oil spilled from Funtime Freddy's limp body. Ennard stiffed as he watched his friend shakily held his hand up and rested it upon Helpy's shoulder.
"Do not fret, Helpy. You'll be alright. I'll turn your tears to roses the day we meet again. I love you, my son." Funtime Freddy's voice was shaking, much like the rest of his body.
Tears blinded Helpy's vision. "Don't leave me.. Not after we found each other again...We gotta go home, Dad. We gotta find out what's wrong with the others. Come on, Dad. You don't have to leave.."
Ennard forced himself to turn again, he looked at Golden Freddy. The faded gold bear was now standing up right, yet his eyes were black with no pupil. His fur was spiked up in multiple places and it was stained with grease, blood, and oil.
"Hey, you can do something to help Funtime Freddy, right?" Ennard asked.
It was to no avail. The gold bear did not speak back, instead he looked into Ennard's eye. Ennard shifted under his gaze. What the hell is wrong with this bear? He won't even talk to me. Ennard thought. Ennard turned his attention back to the pink and white bears.
"I feel like I didn't do enough for you, Dad. You deserved so much more out of life." Helpy wept.
"I don't care if I deserved more or not, Helpy. I got to meet you and bond with you, and that's all that matters to me. Goodbye, my little soldier." Funtime Freddy closed his eyes as he drew in his final breath.
"Goodbye, old friend." Ennard whispered.
Helpy's weeping filled the air and echoed through the hallway. Matted golden fur caught Ennard's eye, what he saw surprised him. Golden Freddy was now stumbling through the hallway. Ennard titled his head and narrowed his eye. What was the golden bear doing? Was he trying to escape? Maybe he was with Freddy Fazbear after all!
"Hey," Ennard called at Golden Freddy. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"We.....need to get out." the gold bear warned.
Ennard locked glazes with Golden Freddy. His black, empty eyes still showed no presence of life, yet Ennard could sense that he was scared. Ennard touched Helpy on the back. The small bear was still crying over his dead father, but he looked up at Ennard. His light blue eyes were soft with grief. Ennard swallowed down any sadness he had and tried to speak in a strong voice.
"Helpy, we need to go." Ennard
"B-b-but.... What about Dad?" the young bear whimpered.
Ennard gazed upon the oil stained lump of ragged fur that had been his friend. A lump grew in Ennard's throat as he realized that they couldn't leave him. He lifted the dead body of Funtime Freddy onto his shoulders, struggling to keep his footing on the ground due to the heaviness of the corpse. He took Helpy's hand into his own and together they slowly walked towards Golden Freddy. Light poured into the dark, winding hallway, making Ennard had to squint his eye to see. He stumbled into the glowing light, hoping it was an exit.
"Ennard," Golden Freddy trembled. "We must go...Quickly."
The smell of smoke clogged Ennard's senses, he blindly tumbled through the hazy grey smoke that now filled the hallway. His eye stung and his back ached from the weight of Funtime Freddy, yet he pushed on. A rush of reielf gushed over Ennard as he finally emerged out of the burning building with Helpy and Golden Freddy by his side. They rushed further away from the building until they were a safe distance from it. Ennard watched as his home burned to the ground, ashes flew in the wind.
