"Blake thinks I should kill you,"

"You mean the dark haired one?" I ask and he nods. I hit a wall, kill me!? "K-ki-kill me," I stutter shaking in my spot, I turn on the heat realizing it's 40 degrees.

"I'm not going too, I don't want to kill you," Aiden slides closer to  me and hangs his arm over my shoulders to comfort me. "What's stopping him from doing what you won't," I screech at him and his eyes go dark like I had predicted something he hadn't thought of.

"I will. He won't touch you," Aiden growls and I smile weakly at him, he scowls. "Perhaps I shouldn't have told you, I didn't mean to scare you," he says softly and my face heats that I had screamed.

"No, thanks for telling me.. It's always nice to know if I'm on a hit list," I laugh and he doesn't chuckle as I had hoped.

I have a chance to actually look at him with out feeling like a it was uncalled for, his hair is still brown with golden highlights due to the weak sun beams streaming through the window, pale skin. Leaning back I realize his arm is still behind me, but I ignore it and enjoy the head rest. "We need to go, people are starting to notice,"

I finally drag my attention away from his abnormal beauty and watch as a man's eyes narrow at the scene of Aiden in my car, not to mention his arm around me. This snaps me out of whatever fog that had closed tightly around me and I put the car in drive then pull out of the store parking lot. "Where to?" I ask unsure if he wants to go to his house or where ever he wants to tell me about what is going on.

"Your house. You do live there right?"

"Yeah it's my house, I thought maybe you wanted to go somewhere else to tell me about all this vampire stuff," I tell him and he removes his arm and I wish I hadn't said anything.

"We can talk now. What do you want to know?" Aiden asks and his voice vibrates in his chest making it low and gorgeous.

"Uh..well OK but tell me if I cross a line," he dips his head once for a go ahead, but I stay silent. I groan out at last,"I don't know what to say," I glance at him and he is staring at me, "You just tell me everything you want me to know," Aiden smirks and nods his head again.

"Alright but no interruptions Audrey," I nod in mock fear of interrupting him as I turn down my little gravel road. "1793, my father was bitten by one of the most feared vampires in the world at the time, but no body new he was making an army out of the men's families as well. My dad had disappeared for about three to four days, my mother and I were worried but had no way to contact him until he came home. Though when he did, there was no stopping him from turning us both," I wince for him, I can't imagine having your father be the one to inflict all that pain.

"I woke up with a heightened sense of everything, smell, sight, speed, strength..." he trails off at speed and strength waiting for my reaction, but I nod and he continues hesitantly not wanting to scare me. "The war was long, but not important to this story...my father was free once he was let out from the prison, he founded this town and he expanded his territory and divided it and then gave half to me," I look at him in surprise, he owns this land? "My friends and I have to walk the borders everyday, even the one I share with my father, he wouldn't hesitate to take this town back, and if he does..." he trails off like the idea is to terrible to think about.

"You have to walk that every day?" I ask him and he nods. "It usually doesn't take that long, the speed helps,"

I pull up in the drive way and turn the some what rusty key out of the ignition and politely motion my hand for him to come in. Not that he hasn't seen it before. "You can talk now while I'm not telling the story," I grin and grab the bag that sat in the floor and swiftly jump out of the car onto hard snow that I almost fall on. Though I caught myself Aiden was next to me in a matter of seconds ready to catch me if I did fall.
