It was a peaceful life. Living in Endor with your mother and father, and of course who could forget Gl-04. On hot days, you, GL-04, and some Ewoks would go swimming in the clear waters of the forest, the redwood trees serving as shade from the hot sun. You also remember on the dewy spring days when new flowers would bloom and small insects would fly around the newly matured plants, the winters were cold yet lovely since you and your father, Medlou, would have snowball fights as your mother, Kolani, and GL would prep up the warm dinner to keep you warm during those freezing cold days. Life was paradise, and the cherry on top would be whenever you'd play your (F/I) and GL would create some beat with her buttons to go along with whatever melody was playing.

All good things must come to an end though...

It was a day like any other day, the sun was beaming, the creatures were chirping, the Ewoks were doing their daily hustle, you knew the drill. Kolani assigned you to get some plums and apricots for brunch and as always,

GL was at your side. You both made your way through the Ewok village, bidding good mornings to the elderly and to everyone that would cross your path. Once you made your way down the redwood trees, the both of you headed to the local fruit farm. As you began to pick the fruit, GL made a comment that unsettled you at first:

-"(Y/N), I have a bad feeling about today.. My sensors have been picking up radio chatter since yesterday, and it doesn't sound good."

-"Oh man, what type of chatter, GL? Maybe it's someone stranded in space; you sure you weren't on radio mode listening to some stations?"

-"No, I'm sure of it. They weren't regular folks stranded in space, I think it was something more sinister and-"

-"And what? C'mon, spit it out."

GL stopped speaking, and she was looking at the sky. You turned in her direction as well in confusion, and it made your heart sink. A massive ship replaced the Sun, clouding over the whole area.

It was the Republic.

You began to run back towards the village, bumping into Ewoks along the way home. When you reached home, your mother quickly embraced you two in a tight hug.

-"Mother, they're here.."

-"Yes, I know (Y/N). Hurry, pack lightly and come back at the door."

As you ran down the hallway, everything began to go in slow motion. You began to observe the walls, the floor, every crack in the ceiling, the atmosphere of the small house. Everything. This would be the last time you would be able to fully immerse yourself in your home.

You arrived at your dorm, quickly grabbing clothes, a blaster, a small family portrait, and a stuffed animal of an Ewok. Before leaving your home, your father grabbed your hands and looked at you with comfort in his eyes.

-"(Y/N), my little wanderer. Always stick close to GL-04, she'll keep you safe. Remember to go to the quarters at the end of the forest, alright?"

You nodded weakly, feeling a lump forming in your throat. Kolani came up behind the both of you, grabbing your shoulders to face her. She gently placed a bracelet on your hand, patting the top lightly.

-"I've been saving this since the moment you were born. Mi flor, always have faith in the force, you'll always find me and your papa there, okay? This bracelet holds a Kyber crystal, remember?"

-"Yes, you would tell me the same story every night, I'd never forget.."

Both your parents gave each other a distraught look but smiled as both of them, you, and GL hugged one last time. You took in their scent and warmth, for it was the most hurtful goodbye you'd ever experience.

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. Crunch

The two of you ran with the speed of your life, heading out as far as the eye could see from the small village. A gut feeling told you to stop in your tracks and turn around.. You did so and found a woman in a white cape, a clean uniform, and plenty of troopers behind her packed with heavy weapons. You hid behind a log and tried to make out what they were saying. The conversation didn't last long, and to your horror, Kolani was shot straight in the chest, your father rushing to her side, and the woman was shot in the leg. The woman got up with the help of the soldiers and shouted, clearly angered:

-"They have a child and a robot. Find both and bring them to me, now!"

-"(Y/N)! Come on, we don't have time to lose, they're onto us!"

You shook your head, pressing your hand against your mouth as you got up. Your knees felt weak but you continued on to your destination. You could hear the chatter of the troopers near you, and it fills you with desperation and terror. GL took you down this path between huge logs, and it opened up to a waterfall next to a cliff. The two of you quickly made it in, looking for a small door in between the rocks. GL found it and opened it. It wasn't much, but it had a bunk bed and a small cabinet stored with canned food. You locked the vault and hid in GL's robotic arms. You buried your face in the embrace, hearing the troopers talking amongst themselves that the area was clear. A sigh escaped your mouth as you clutched your wrist, rubbing the bracelet.

It seemed like an eternity, but someone knocked on the vault door. You jumped from the surprise and put your weapon in aim. GL stood up as well, holding a blaster and pointing it at the door. She slowly made her way over to the vault door and opened it. There stood a being clothed in armor and a gas mask. He spoke in a foreign language and pointed at the two of you. GL nodded and spoke to you:

-"(Y/N), he's with Saw Gerrera. He says your father, Medlou, contacted him as soon as the Imperials arrived in the planet's atmosphere. They're going to take us to..?"

GL asked where they would be taken to, the alien quickly replied, nodded and began heading out towards the cave.

-"What did he say?.."

-"We're being taken to Jedha.."

Somewhere in the galaxy...

-"Master! There's been a disturbance in the Force.  Perhaps another one was chosen? My visions keep showing me of a new Jedi in the midst."

-"Patience, young Padawan. The Force is never mistaken, this new Jedi you speak of will be revealed soon, and they will be the one to defeat the Republic. Just you wait.."
