"Be the change you want to see in the world" - AGHS Class of 2018
I would be lying if I said that I didn't cry at graduation. Between singing beside my best friends one last time and giving out flowers to those in influenced me the most, I was (to say the less) a big 'ole mess. After attending the same school for 13 years, I was finally graduating. In my four years of high school I came out, experienced heartbreak, gave up all hope, reconnected with old friends, started new friendships, and started dating my best friend. And here it all was, coming to an end.
Sadly, Corie was graduating at the same time as me so I couldn't scream while she walked across the stage. But after taking a million pictures and hearing from multiple people how proud they were of me, I was off to Waverly to meet up with my girlfriend. We took a picture in our gowns and then went off to some graduation parties.
A little back story on our post-graduation plans:
Corie had decided and been accepted to Washburn University in Kansas. I on the other hand had no real plans. I thought about maybe taking my general education courses at my local community college and then attending the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. But nothing was set in stone.
Before I knew it, the day was over and I was beginning my blind adventure into post-graduation life.
