Next Day.
"Did you hear what Delta did to Arlo? He broke through his barrier!"
"Delta..?! The new student? No way! Does that she mean she's as strong as Seraphina...?"
"Is she going to overthrow Remi....?"
Whispers filled the hall as people glanced at me nervously. A sea of students stepped back in fear as I continued down the hallway.
How did the events of the Turf War get out so fast? Surely Arlo wasn't stupid enough to tell anyone...?
Amongst the students, I noticed Isen and Blyke leaning against the lockers. Blyke's face had band-aids stuck on from yesterday's incident.
"Man....she's so cool." Blyke whispered. "She beat Agwin's Queen without a scratch, and she's not even officially a part of the roster."
"Dude....no way. I gotta get a story out of this. The headline should say-" Isen started.
"No, shhh! Shut up! She's coming this way!" Blyke covered his mouth.
"Hey guys." I smiled, dismissing their fangirling. I looked at Blyke. "Are you okay, Blyke? Some of these look bad." I tenderly touched the bruises on his face as splotches of red crept up to his cheeks. "I thought Elaine healed all your wounds."
"It's....uh....nothing." He said, wincing slightly. "She healed all the major wounds. Elaine had to save the rest of her healing aura for Arlo."
"Oh." I momentarily shifted my gaze away, suppressing yesterday's events. "I can heal it."
"A-ah," Blyke stuttered as he nervously scratched the back of his head, "I really don't want you to waste it on me-"
"Don't worry, Blyke. It's really no trouble. I can always eat something to replenish my aura." My glowing hand hovered over his cheek.
"Alright. Thanks for saving me yesterday. Rein could have tore me apart." Blyke's face was still flushed. "It was pretty cool the way you attacked her. You didn't even have to raise a finger."
"Not as cool as you." I said, focusing on the fading bruise. "You extended your energy beams to enhance your endurance and speed during both matches. And, in addition to that, you managed to maintain your confidence even though you were badly injured. I admire that." I flashed him a smile.
"O-oh," he cleared his throat and averted his eyes away from me, every inch of his face now evidently flushed in a deep shade of pink. "T-thank you."
"I think i'm done." I set my hand down and watched the red glow fade. "Does it feel better?"
"Yeah. The aching's gone."
"I gotta run to the Infirmary." I looked at Isen and Blyke. "We should hang out together some time," I suggested.
"Yeah, definitely." Blyke nodded his head and smiled. "See you later."
I turned to the direction of the Infirmary, but the distance between us didn't drown out the conversation.
"Oooo Blyke, your face was so red I thought you were gonna have a nose bleed."
"You're gonna get one soon if you don't shut up in the next ten seconds."

"Hey, doc."
I leaned against the frame of the doorway. Doctor Darren was typing away on his laptop.
