I stepped toward Jason and punched him in his nose before kneeing him in the nuts. He dropped to the ground blood runnig out of his nose and hands gripping his jewels.
"You are the biggest pig I have ever had the displeasure of meeting!" I growled. "I don't jump into bed with ever guy that comes around so before you try to judge get to know me first. I might where shorts and tank tops but I am far from a whore!"
"You just hit me!" he groaned in pain.
"You deserved it," I snarled turning on my heel and walking to my car.
"Where are you going?" Devin asked as I climbed in and started her up.
"To cool off. When the movers arrive show them my room," I said before pulling away from the curb and speeding off down the road.
I drove until I reached a park and got out. I walked over to a tree and sat down. I pulled out my phone and called Jazz.
"Hey, Kyla, how's the new home?" he asked.
"I hate them!" I cried as tears rolled down my face.
"Baby girl, what did they do to you? I'll drive there. You know what I'm heading there now!" he said.
"Thanks, Jazz," I smiled. "It's noon so you'll be here when?"
"About nine," he said. "I know my way around South Dakota, and you already gave me the town and address. Where are you?"
"A park about a mile away from my new hell," I said.
"Okay, Baby girl, stay there. I'll get there as fast as I can. I love you," Jazz said.
"Okay. I love you too," I said before hanging up.
Yes, you are probably wondering why Jazz and I say 'I love you' to each other. No, him and I aren't together. He's my ex boyfriend. We broke up four months ago and are still really close. He went from boyfriend to protective brother. It's weird. I am aware.
I laid back against the tree and closed my eyes. The next thing I knew I was softly being shaken. I looked up and saw familiar warm brown eyes. I three my arms around the person and buried my face in his neck.
"Jazz, I'm so glad you're here," I said against his neck.
"I'm here, baby girl," he said. "Now tell me what happened."
As I told Jazz everything that happened he grew angrier and angrier. When I got to the part about Jason he cursed under his breath. When I finished Jazz stood up and headed to his car.
"Jazz?" I asked following him.
He didn't answer me.
"Jeffery Jazz Martin, answer me now!" I yelled.
"Baby girl, don't be mad," he said turning to me. "I'm sorry. How 'bout you take me to your new house then I can deal with your problem."
"You're not gonna get in a fight," I said. "You and I are gonna go back then find my step-brother. Tell him I'm home then go up to my room. Right now I just wanna sleep."
"Okay," he agreed.
We got back in our cars, and he followed me to the house. When I got out of my car, Devin stormed out of the house. The rest of the guys lingured in the doorway and on the porch. Jazz walked over to me and held my hand as Devin got closer.
"Where the hell have you been?" he yelled. "You have been gone for nine hours!" He stopped when he noticed Jazz. "Who are you?" he growled.
"Devin, calm down. I fell asleep at the park. This is Jazz. My friend from California. I called him and he drove down here," I explained.
"When is he leaving?" Devin asked.
"Don't worry," Jazz sneered. "School starts Monday so I'm leaving tomorrow."
"Can I please go to bed now?" I whined. "Assuming of course it's put together."
"Yes, and there are sheets on it. We hung up most of your clothes, but we didn't touch the boxes that warned 'touch and you die' " he said
"Good," I said pulling Jazz toward the house. "Come on, let's go to sleep."
"Okay, baby girl," he laughed.
"Baby girl?" the guys asked.
"He's your boyfriend?" Devin asked.
"Ex," I sighed. "'Baby girl' is just what he calls me. Always has."
The guys cleared out of the doorway as we approached.
"Hey, glad you're okay," Jax said as we walked past him.
"Thanks," I told him with a kind smile.
I pulled Jazz up the stairs before calling down the stairs. "Jax, which room is mine?"
"The black door next to the blood red one," he yelled up the stairs.
"Who's room is that?" I yelled to him.
"Mine," he answered.
"Cool," I said pulling Jazz to the door.
I opened the door and saw my bed set up in a corner of the room with my bean bag at the end of it facing my tv. My dresser was against a wall and my desk facing the window. The walls were a dark purple with skull stickers on it.
"It's like your room in Cali," Jazz observed.
"Yeah, it's nice," I smiled.
I ran to my bed and jumped on it. I snuggled my back against the wall and pulled the covers over me.
Jazz climbed in beside me and pressed my head to his chest. I relaxed against him and soon fell asleep.
