I took a long drag from my cigarette and stared at the house in front of me. Comparing it to papa's house. Nothing could compare. I sighed heavily and flicked the cigarette into the driveway and headed into the house for dinner.
I guess now would be a good time to tell you about myself. My name is Willow Marie Paine's. I'm from a small town in Georgia that nobody has ever heard of, and I tend to keep it that way. I worked on my papa's farm, hoping once I turned 18 to inherit it. That all changed quickly once my dad got offered a new and more paying job so he didn't blink an eye when he told us we were moving. But he doesn't know I tend to move back in a year.
I have dark brown hair that reaches just above my butt and bright green eyes that I inherited from my grandma. I'm about 5'6" and 120 pounds. I Have an all black gelding with blue eyes named Zelda. he's my baby. My other baby would me my 96 ford f-150. Again she's all black with red leather seats and a red dashboard. my momma died when I was 8 in a car accident and my dad married again just two years ago to Cynthia. Whom, I might add is a pain in my ass. But whatever.
I walk into the kitchen and wash my hands before I sit down at the table.
"So Willow, are you enjoying the new place?" Cynthia asks me with a smirk on her face. She's the main reason we moved. She hated the farm back home.
"Why of course Cynthia, I mean I believe there's more snakes here than back home." I finish with a smile as I take a bite of my mashed potatoes. Her eyes go wide and she glares at me. Just before she opens her mouth to reply my daddy walks in.
"Hello girls, how's dinner? I'm starving." he smiles and walks to me kissing my forehead and sits at the table and begins stuffing his face.
"Its pretty good this time dear, I think I'm improving" Cynthia smiles widely at my dad and runs her finger up his arm. Rolling my eyes I take another bite of my mashed potatoes. I ignore my dad and Cynthia for the moment when I feel something in my mouth other than food. I pick something off of my tongue to reveal a blonde strand of hair. I slap my hand over my tongue to stop any vomit from coming up and I glare a Cynthia.
"What the hell?" I yell, I was pissed.
"Willow! Language!" he yells back and I roll my eyes
"Really dad? So your telling me if you found a hair in your food you wouldn't freak out?" I wait impatiently for an answer when Cynthia chimes in.
"I'm so sorry sweetheart, would you like me to make you something else?" she replys in the sweet sarcastic voice that dad never catches onto. I snort.
"Uhm, no thanks. I'd rather starve" My dad slams his fist into the table and looks at me. "That's enough willow." I stare wide eyed at my dad. I push my chair back grab my keys and walk out the door as my dad is yelling my name. I jump I'm my truck and drive to town.
I can't believe he yelled at me like that. I shake my head and turn the radio up, drowning out my thoughts. My eyes wonder around town as I'm driving though it. Its a small town, but not nearly as nice as back home. My eyes tear up as I think about papa. How sad he looked when we left. I brush the pain away as I pull into a taco bell. I put my truck in park and turn off the ignition. Walking into the door I run into a wall. Or what feels like a wall. I look up and my eyes connect with bright blue eyes.
I snap out of my trance and take a step back. He was about 6'2" with a nice build. Light brown hair with ice blue eyes. He was gorgeous. The black shirt he was wearing fit him perfectly and the tight light blue jeans made me think of what was beneath them. When my face got read I snapped out of it.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to run into to you." I tried to sound as apologetic as possible and made eye contact once more. He looks down at me and smiles quickly before holding the door open for me.
"th-thank you" he nods and walks out. As I watch him walk away with stars in my eyes I almost didn't notice a blonde standing in front of me with her arms crossed over her chest. I raise my eye brow and stare at her.
"Can I help you?" I asked with irritation in my voice.
"Your the new chick?" she eyeballs me up and down and snickers "sorry sweetie but the pig barn is that way" she points somewhere with her fake manicured nail as her sidekicks laugh. I laugh on the inside and my eyes go wide as I yell
"Oh my god is that I spider on your shoulder? I fake a gasp and stop once I see the three bimbos screaming and all take off out the door. I smile widely and go take my order.
As I'm eating my taco the chair in front of me pulls out and I short red head sits in front of me. I swallow my mouth full of food and raise my eye brow
" hello?" she smiles widely and bounces up and down in her seat.
"That was amazing! No body ever sticks up to them" I smirk and take another bite of my food.
"I just don't like snobby bitches" She nods in agreement.
"I'm Rachel by the way.
" Willow " I smile as much as I can without showing to much food and she smiles back
"I think you and me are going to be great friends" We sit and talk for a while like we are old buddies catching up. We finally go say our goodbyes and I head home.
